The Enchanted Kingdom Parade
This is based on the idea of the Worlds of Wonder proposed for Disneyland in California. ...

A fanfare begins, like a Disney marching band and as the music builds, as does the sound of laughter and children’s voices, before the opening announcement begins

‘Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, in 1971, this magical place opened and children of all ages lived their dreams. Today, as part of our 40th anniversary, we celebrate the place where Memories are born, Dreams live, laughter is echoed and friendship is shared, across seven magical lands. We now invite you to celebrate with us as we proudly present our Enchanted Kingdom Parade. Thank you. And welcome to the Magic Kingdom!’

The music builds again before entering the parades under liner. (This would be similar to SADCT, with a bit more pace possibly)

The first float is simply the parade’s ‘logo’ of some sorts, but similar to the ‘Walt artist’ seen in DDCT.

After this, you see dancers coming down the street, laughing and talking, with dancing also. These would be in period dress (1900s) resembling Main Street USA. The dancers are then followed by the first float. This would be similar to that seen in PoD, representing the train station, etc; but in the Magic Kingdom style. This would include flowers as seen in the Hub and so on. Music would be similar to that heard in Main Street loops during the day, train tooting and so on to fit over the under-liner. Characters seen on this float would be Mickey & Minnie on-float in similar period dress. Chip & Dale with Pluto would follow the float for guest interaction.

The third float would be Adventureland. Here, trees and vines grow out of the float, with a water fall on the back of the float. Out of the front of the greenery would be a pirate ship, which would have cannon-effects (smoke and so on). In front of the float, Peter Pan & Wendy greet guests and run along teasing Captain Hook who is on the Pirate Ship. Amongst the greenery, Iago, from Aladdin would be present with friends from The Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management. Animals such as elephants (as seen in PoD) would follow the float. Music would include music form Peter Pan, Tiki Room song and so on.

As the third float passes by, cowboys come strolling up the parade route, greeting guests, being gentlemanly to ladies, etc. This precedes the 4th float, which is dedicated to Frontierland. On this float, old rail tracks spiral off the end and lead to old mining cars. At the centre of the float, sits Splash Mountain, with the water gushing down its side. All around is a rocky landscape. On the float sit the Country Bears, who are strumming on their banjos. At the back of the float, leaning on a fence are Woody & Jessie from Toy Story. Music includes western style music & ‘Woody’s Roundup’ theme.

Liberty Square is represented in the 5th float. Smaller in scale due to the size of the Land, this float mostly comprises of the Haunted Mansion, with characters from the story seen on the float, with twisted metal fences & the gates to the Mansion. This however merges into the back of the float, which is neatly done in Liberty Square style architecture, with a white columns and railings at the back. More of a classical style of music here, with some haunted mansion music included. Possibly no characters as such included here, as I can’t think of any to fit the theme.

Mickey’s Toontown Fair comes next, with the float made up of a colourful house and cartoon style imagery (lamppost and so on) found in the Land. On this float would be Donald & Goofy. On either ‘side’ would be a mix of classic characters (NO stitch or the like), who would greet guests and interact with each other. Music would be jokey/fun version of the under-liner.

The 7th float is Tomorrowland. On the float, a futuristic sculpture reaches for the sky, very much like the Astro Obiter attraction. The rest of the float is very much like the design of the Land it represents. Buzz Lightyear waves from the float as he passes by, with Monsters Inc. characters on street level. Smoke omits from the float & parts of the sculpture turn and spin. Music includes that form Space Mountain & land music.

Finally, we come to Fantasyland. Here we have two floats. On the first, IASW is represented, with slightly larger models than the ride, but still moving and so on to the float’s music. Also here is Pinocchio, fitting in with the ‘puppets’ of IASW, with bungee style puppets like in PoD and Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade in Paris. In front of the float is Alice with the Mad Hatter & Tweedle-De & Tweedle Dum. Behind is Pooh Bear, with his friends. Music would include variations of It’s a small world, songs from Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland.
On the final float are Cinderella and her prince, along with the Fairy Godmother & the mice, seen in SADCT. The float is designed with a platform at the front, leading across a bridge to a basic ‘model’ of the castle. This would be elaborate in design, rather than just simply the greys and blues of the castle, with golden spirals around the turrets, glass and so on. Music would simply be themes from Cinderella.

Show stops would be included and would continue past the 40th anniversary, unlike SADCT’s. The signal for them would be a swirling in the music and ‘when you wish upon a star’ echoing along the parade route. It would be a new song written for the anniversary, probably shorter than the main version and with a special bridge at the start for an introduction, about the park or something like the opening announcement. During the stop, characters descend from the float to meet guests as well as dance to the music. This is where the magic happens, as the floats expand in some way (e.g. Tomorrowland’s tower grows, castle rotates and so on) this would add to the experience compared to previous show stops seen at the park. At the end, steamers/glitter erupt from the floats and all characters freeze temporarily, before the fanfare and the music begins again.

At the end, the fanfare plays again, and the opening announcer says
‘We hope you have enjoyed celebrating the enchanting Lands of the Kingdom. On Behalf of all of us in the Magic Kingdom, we hope you enjoy the rest of your time with us. Thank you. And may all YOUR dreams come true’ – or something along these lines. The music swirls again and finishes in a great loud note on drums and brass…..tinkling away into nothing.

I may not have explained myself so well in some places and apologies for any spelling mistakes and for the extent of writing!
