The Dreamflight Owl

In the third scene of Dreamflight, just before the "Flying Machines" section (where images of a daredevil on an airplane were projected on a large screen), guest passed through a barn that an aviator/stuntsman had crashed into. The crashed aviator, moving up and down from the barn, had an owl sitting on his back.

That 2-D, blue cartoon owl can be found on a desk at the Animatronics department office of Central Shops. Bonnie Appetit is also in this room.

I believe the Behind the Magic tour offers entrance into this area. If the owl is still at the same location, you'll see it in a scattered area to your left upon entering the room.

Ahhh.. Bonnie!!

"Thank you Folks for coming to my kitchen....."
I was told she's now a cowboy, longhaired, "naked" (AA innards showing) brunette with a mutant hand.

Not to spoil the magic or anything.

All too true, big bear. When I went on Backstage Magic, there was a nekkid AA there used to show how they work. We were told that it was one of the castaways from the old Kitchen Kabaret show. The tour's teacher/guide/presenter/whatever will use one of those mini screwdrivers to activate different parts of the AA. The guide mentioned that we would notice the AA had two different types of hands. One was the original form of AAs, the other was the most technically advanced kind. The idea of having the mutant hand was to show the difference in AA technology over the years. They also had a bird AA on display, too. Of course, on the same trip, we saw other AAs, including an abandoned Horizons AA, and all the IASW AAs were also nekkid and in for refurb. Imagine a white mister potato head body with two metal arms sticking out. Yikes!

Not sure which one it was. I was not fortunate enough to visit before Horizons went belly up. Secondly, it was pretty much stripped down. The only way I knew it was from Horizons was a spray-painted stencil that said something to the effect of "Horizons model 89" or something like that.

If there's any way you can save up the money for the Backstage Magic Tour, do it! It is an absolutely amazing tour, and practically heavenly for a WDW freak. PM me if you'd like a full report on what we saw/did.

Heh, yes I did see it. Nice job!! (I can't wait to see AE). By chance, can you get a good freezeframe of the kid with the Figment hat (in the preshow video of BW)? Only if it doesn't take up too much time. :D

I will look up the tour, brkgnews. Thanks. :)

Grizz - here you go. This is a cropped image. I`ve grabbed the frame from my source DVD (transfered from the original SVHS tape) - PM me with a suitable email address for you and I`ll send the full size image. Its just under 500k and I don`t like sending large attachments without warning (esp if you are on 56k, though I doubt it with all your *great* photo updates of the parks!)
