Hello all! My name is Stephanie and this is my first pre-trip report. I have been to Disney numerous times and can NOT get enough it. This will be me and DH fourth time going together. In the past we have gone with my stepkids, who are now DS 15 & DD 12. They love Disney just as much as I do! This time is a little different because after many years of trying to conceive we finally have our new baby girl. DD will be 6 months when we go!!! I have been dreaming of taking my baby for the last 4 years (when hubby and I started trying) and now my dreams are finally coming to fruition!!
Here we are in August 2012, the last time we were there:
And here's baby Cassidy at 2 months old:
I can not wait to show her the most magical place on Earth!
So here are the plans:
When- August 9th through August 18th
Where- Disney Dolphin hotel
Who- Me- Stephanie; DH- Scott; DS-Dylan; DD- Allison; DD- Cassidy
Halfway through the trip (Thursday August 14th) Dylan & Allison will meet their mother and their step father and finish their trip with them. More to come... Baby is waking up now
4:30am wake up... We need to get up, get ready and double check that we have everything we need. Mom and Dad (my husband's parents) will come and pick us up around 5:30 so we can be at the airport by 6am!
Our flight leaves at 8am. (Crossing my fingers for no delays)
Arrive at Orlando International Airport at 10:40
From there we will get our rental van at Alamo, pack it up and head straight for Walmart.
At Walmart we will get all the things we couldn't bring with us on the flight. (Diapers for 9 days, formula, drinks and snacks)
Next stop is the liquor store... We'll stock on up on some beer and wine (for poolside drinking) as well as get one of those styrofoam coolers for the hotel. (even though we will have a fridge it will be easy to have the cooler, too)
The FINALLY to Disney!!! Hoping to get to our hotel by 1 or 2. Check in at the Dolphin, unpack, get settled (maybe let the baby nap) and then find somewhere at the hotel to eat and then walk around the lagoon.
We'll end up back at our hotel for an early night to get some shut eye so we can be ready bright and early for EPCOT in the morning
The plan is to get up get ready, have breakfast at the hotel and head over to EPCOT - It is our favorite park and I am glad it will be Cassidy's first Disney park. I would love to do Spaceship Earth as her first ride, but I know how long the line can be in the am. Anyway... We have Fastpasses to meet Mickey and friends at 9:10. Hopefully the line to SE won't be too bad and we can hop on it. From there we have FP for Soarin' at 10:30 and then Maelstrom at 12:30. I hope we make it to Maelstrom (I have no clue if the baby will sleep ok in the stroller, so the first few days we will be figuring out what she does and doesn't like nap-wise).
The plan is to head back to the hotel EVERY DAY in the afternoon and take a break.
We will go back to EPCOT in the evening and have dinner at Rose Crown & Pub. I can't wait as this is the first time we've all eaten there!!!
I'm hoping the husband and I will be able to partake in some adult beverages that World Showcase has to offer and that we'll be able to catch Illuminations. Again, I don't know how the baby is going to be - She goes to bed at 7 every night, so hopefully she'll either sleep or be ok, but we all know SHE's calling all the shots this vacation
Its good pre-trip report its awesome for me that in Disney you are moving around specially Disney is made up for the kids which is good for the Tourist i realized in the pics that you all are take much fun..
Thank you! The kids enjoy every aspect and I can't wait to show my little one Disney, too... I just know she'll love the shows and (some) rides. We try to have as much fun as possible!!!
