So here are the basics:

WHO: Me (Chelbye) and my husband, Nicholas!
WHEN: October 27 - November 3, 2017
WHY: It's technically our honeymoon, but I also received my Master's in August.
WHERE: Coronado Springs!

Alright so I've been lurking the boards for what seems like forever, and after finishing my MBA, I've had the time to actually contribute. Soooo here's a bit about me, my husband, and this trip:

I'm 25 and was raised on Disney. This will be my 5th trip to Disney World with the previous trips being in July of 2000, September of 2006, May-June of 2014, and October-November of 2015. This will be my husband's 3rd trip (he came with me in 2014 and 2015). He's probably more addicted to Disney than I am now. ;)
We booked this trip in August of 2016, and originally planned it for celebrating my MBA, but since then, we got married! We got married on March 18th and decided that we would use this trip as a Disneymoon as well.

So - we just found out that our friends aren't coming out the first three days after all. :(
But that puts us back on our original schedule and should make getting through MK the first day a bit easier.

Also, United changed our flight back home :banghead: we depart MCO at 4:15 now. DME shouldn't get to our hotel until 1 though, right? So we can still have the morning in the park?

Hello everyone! I am currently sitting at home on a snow day in Colorado, drinking Joffrey's coffee out of my rapid refill mug. Reminiscent much? We got home on Friday evening and it has been nonstop nonsense since we've been home. Between work, my nonprofit, seeing family, and cleaning the house, we've been slammed. But don't fret! This snow day has given me the time to start my trip report!

Stay tuned!

Oct 27 - Travel Day

We woke up at 5:30am ready to go! Okay, well my husband, Nick, did. I wanted to spend a bit more time under the covers cuddling with the pups before we left. After showering, packing last minute items, and loading the car, it was time to say bye to the dogs. (Yes, we're crazy dog people with 3 special needs dogs who are EXTREMELY hard to leave. Luckily, my dad was able to stay most nights with them, and Nick's brother and mom came to check on them throughout the week as well.) I mean look at these faces!

We left and headed up to DIA to catch our 9:10 flight. The parking lot was busier than any other time I've ever had to park at the airport so we had quite the walk from my car to the terminal. We parked by a sweet Jeep that had a skeleton on the top of his car (of course I didn't take a picture) and froze as we walked into the airport. After checking our bags and passing through security, we only had to wait about 45 minutes before boarding began. Nick is currently on a Bloody Mary kick so we sought out the closest bar. He enjoyed his Bloody Mary and I had a mimosa.

We headed off to our gate, only to find that the plane currently flying out of B44 was going to Tampa and not Orlando. I have had fantastic luck with flying with the exception of one trip to Raleigh in June where I was delayed 10 hours so I hate when things are not perfect and it is completely foreign to me to experience problems when flying (no matter how minor). Nick gets extremely anxious when things aren't according to plan, so of course the panic set in. I opened up the United app and it still showed B44 was our gate. We ran over to the Departures screen in the terminal and hunted down the Orlando flight which also still read B44. Just as we were about to turn around and ask someone, the screen switched to B22. By this time, it was 15 minutes before boarding began so we hustled down to our gate. We got there with time to spare so Nick took a call from work and I checked emails. (We avoided work for the majority of the trip but Nick is currently thinking about switching jobs and was waiting on a call from the new company, and I run a nonprofit that was getting ready to launch our biggest fundraising campaign so we agreed that small moments like these we would use for work.)

The flight was easy: Nick slept, I read It. About an hour into flight, I put on my MagicBand and I'm pretty sure the guy next to me laughed. He appeared to be a Florida native and I can only imagine his annoyance with people like me who get excited about Disney. We landed early and sped our way through the airport to get down to DME. I received our room text as we were on our way to the DME section of the airport. We walked right onto our bus and joined a group of college-age kids also on their way to Coronado Springs. The front of the bus was packed with these kids in their college gear who were NOT excited to be going to Disney. We didn’t care and wanted to show that we were excited.

As we arrived at Coronado Springs, we saw more college-age kids roaming around and quickly realized there had to be a convention. Walking to get our mugs, we overhead another guest ask what convention the kids were there for the FDP convention which apparently is a Democratic party convention so I am still really confused.

We got our refill mugs and headed to our room. We stayed in the remodeled Cabanas and I didn't take a picture. But we did receive our Honeymoon gift package!

Your dogs are adorable. You are my kind of gal with your mimosa! Your honeymoon gift package is really cute. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip.
