The Disney Store

Retail can be a tough gig. So is working the counter at a fast food joint during "lunch hour". There are lots of jobs that are tough, some pay well, some don't. ED staff does a "lot of work" when a multivehicle wreck takes place.

That's why they call it "work" and have to pay you to do it. Otherwise they'd call it "play" and you'd do it for free. Or they'd call it a vacation and you'd pay to go on it.

I've never been to a Disney Store in another country. How great for you that you have. I guess. When I traveled to France I wasn't looking for a Disney Store. I found The Louvre to be much more interesting.

A "lot of work" at work, who woulda thunk it? And just for your info, this particular "Pops" never let his kids tear up anything in a store of any kind or at anyone else's house. Don't try and blame the current cellphone, Facebook, Twitter culture on me. Don't try and blame the current "Me and my kids can do no wrong and therefore can do anything we want" attitude on me. I'm told that there was a time when you had to be at home (or use a payphone) to take/make a call. I'm told that there was a time when parents demanded that their kids act reasonably polite in public.

I'm sorry, what got up your ? I never blamed anything on you, nor was I ever talking to you beyond the first sentence. I thought that was obvious, but I guess not.

Oh please. "Pops"? And also feeling obligated to point out that there are Disney Stores in other countries. Well gee CheezWhiz, who didn't know that? A moment's reflection would reveal that if Disney built parks in other countries that they wouldn't miss the chance to also build a Disney Store.

You got a little snarky, you got a little snark back and now you want to pretend that you are just so surprised about it.

Try and start a "flame war" and "blogosphere battle" with someone else; I don't play such games.

And I still say, not expecting to do "a lot of work" at WORK is a lousy attitude.

Was the ;) smiley not enough to prove that my comment as nothing more than a light jab?

I never said that, I said "many Disney fans", not ever myself. Please read more carefully next time.

EDIT: I've been tipped off by another member, that you have been here before under a different name with a bad attitude. Welcome to ignore.

Be prepared to fold T-shirts...ALOT. Like, 5 seconds after you're done some moron comes along and messes up the entire display you just spent 10 minutes working on.

That and some shifts you may be the only person on stage besides the cashier, so you have to be good at multi-tasking/prioritizing.
Oh memories. It was many a time that I'd finished re-folding the t-shirt table(s) 15 minutes before closing, only to have a Guest rip through absolutely all of them looking for a size or style we didn't have after refusing my polite offer to assist him/her.

Me: "Can I help you find something?"
Guest: *flinging t-shirts left and right* "No, I'm just browsing."
Me: *dies a little inside* "No problem, let me know if I can provide any assistance"

Not to mention the things I found in Plush Mountain. Don't get me wrong--I loved my job. It certainly wasn't for everyone, though, and like all jobs it had some not-so-fun moments. It did give me a fantastic foundational experience of working with the public (again, sometimes wonderful, sometimes not) that built on my love for Disney.
