So I should be able to pick these up at any Disney store?

I'd call first, however, to make sure that they have them, and in the denominations you want.

I have some from the very first day they produced them (in 1987?), but other than that I haven't "collected" them as some people have. I do find them useful for when people who want to buy me a present and don't know what to get though. ;)

Could anyone post a scan of a $50 Disney Dollar, or a link to a picture of one (feel free to obscure or fuzz out the serial #, if you want to be safe)? I've forgotten to go look at them when I'm there!!! I'm just dying to see one!

Edit: I found a picture of the front, but I'd like to see the back, unless it's just Sleeping Beauty Castle like the $1.

My husband is a teacher/department chairman at one of our local jr. highs. Throughout his 50th birthday, various students were sent to him with an envelope containing 1 Disney dollar. At the end of the day he had $50 for us to spend when we go. :sohappy:

I'm pretty sure all of the Happiest Celebration Disney Dollars have the same reverse design (Sleeping Beauty Castle)

One of the things we do before a trip is my brother and I ask trivia questions to the trip group. Correct answers win Disney Dollars to be paid on the day we check in. The DD's can be used for everything but we always save a few for gambling. Example, everyone puts a DD into the pot and the person who has the highest score on Buzz wins the money. Another popular bet is we pick who will be the first character we see each day. We bet on which monorail color will arrive first. It made the waiting more interesting for the kids when they were young since they could spend their DD's on whatever treat they wanted. Now that they're all teens, 19, 17, 15, they like coming up with more complicated bets and we're asking more complicated questions.

what a cool idea! i wish my parents thought of something this creative!! now i just have to wait till i have my own..lol!
