my fiance will watch Good Luck Charlie with me and we will get a lot of good laughs but anything else on there these days I am on my own with those. lol

He likes Old school 90's/millenium Disney much better.

Good Luck Charlie is hilarious, thats the one I def. enjoy. Other than Phineas and Ferb, theres not much to enjoy on there, but still watch it regardless

Has anyone else noticed that the great older Disney Channel shows like Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire didn't have laugh tracks? Laugh tracks don't necessarily talk down to the viewer to tell them when to laugh, but they've dumbed down the writing and filled in the bad jokes with a laugh track. Their shows used to be so creative, with So Weird and The Famous Jett Jackson. Of course the old Disney Channel Original Movies were fantastic and memorable, but I can't seem to figure out what has changed. And no, this isn't nostalgia talking, these are facts ;)

HONESTLY, I totally agree with you. And, I forgot about Bug Juice! I watch it still but often am thinking how much I truely miss the old shows and original movies. They were 1000 times better. It seems to me like they ran out of concepts or something (besides Phineas and Ferb and Good Luck Charlie) which are 2 of my favorites to watch (as in present Disney Channel era) Phineas and Ferb is brilliant and Good Luck Charlie has a good concept with good laughs.

The others as in Jesse, shake it up, ant farm are watched by me (not going to lie) but I have to admit when I watch them is when Im thinking to myself, "bring back Lizzie or Zenon"

Idk what has happened. Maybe it's the generation..idk what teens like these days but my best bet is that they would choose lizzie, hannah, louis stevens, zack & cody, and gordo over these new shows anyday.

I understand you liked Hannah Montana but I absolutely hated that show, too. Surprisingly not as much as Shake It Up, but I still hated it. Miley Cyrus is annoying, she can't sing and the entire cast was just...irritating. No talent. Whatsoever.

One major thing I hate about current Disney Channel is the fact that they decide to turn almost every one of their stars into singers, despite the fact that some of them can't sing ( Selena Gomez and Bella Thorne, I'm looking at you two).

YES!!!! That laugh track is annoying as heck! They laugh every five seconds. Even Stevens was naturally funny, on the other hand. There's a reason why Shia Labeouf won an Emmy for his role as Louis Stevens. You won't ever see any of the current Disney Channel stars be considered for even an Emmy nomination, let alone a win.

I loved Hannah Montana and still do, but a lot of people beg to differ. Trust me, your not the only one lol.

And, yes, I cannot stand how they always try to make their actors into singers either. Most of the talent now a days is not what "talent" used to be 20, 30, 40 years ago ect anyways. A lot of it is voiced over which sucks. Not everyone, just a lot.

Anyone can agree or disagree with me but the only Disney Channel Star I think has talent in the acting AND music department is Demi Lovato. She is incredible. I own every album of hers.

btw, your looking at one of Shia's biggest fans! I am in LOVE with him and have been ever since Even Stevens. Anyone seen Lawless recentley?! wow. He can deliver.

I'm watching Disney Channel for two reasons...Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls. They are both excellent shows, and ESPECIALLY Gravity Falls. Dipper and Mabel are AWESOME!!!!

I too have been watching Disney Channel my whole life and remember all the classic such as Even Stevens, Lizzie, etc. but nowadays I barely even turn that channel on. As much as I loved Phineas and Ferb when it first came on and picketed for it to have a greater presence in the parks, I really wish they would just end the series now while it's on a high note. To me, the new episodes are getting too Meta where they can't help but make some reference that they doing a TV show and the songs are starting to feel like an afterthought where they just sing what they're doing. I feel that soon the series will become a Family Guy knock off where they just get lazy with the episodes because they've run out of ideas, I mean how many times do we have to see Doofenshmirtz doing a baby type inator? They've done that 3 times already not including the Epcot attraction. But unfortunately they've already been renewed for a 4th season, a spin-off series, and another movie, but with Disney at the wheel that's to be expected=/

Yeahh...Incase you didn't realize Dan Povenmire who does Dr. Doofenshmirtz worked on Family guy..He did the first three Stewie & Brian "Road to" Episodes...Heck They even had Seth Macfarland in a P&F episode playing a Parody of himself as Jeff McGarland...

These Disney Channel actors = singers are driving me crazy. I'd hate to be an actor working for the Disney Channel who didn't feel comfortable singing. Two great actors who were also singers were Anneliese van der Pol from That's So Raven and Christy Carlson Romano from Even Stevens. Go listen to them on Broadway, really impressive.

Um... Shia is MINE! Goodness, I've been in love with him for years. Like a pathetic puppy dog. When I was about nine, I had the chance to take a photo with him, but I passed. Clearly, I regret it to this day.

I very much agree. They could already sing before Disney, so it helped. Another one who's a good singer, in my opinion, is AJ Trauth (Twitty from Even Stevens). Awesome singer and his band was great. I enjoy both of their albums.

haha that's how I feel. I don't drool over many actors or whatever but Shia has been an exception since Even Stevens. Yes, I liked him then too. And, you better take that opportunity to get that picture if it ever happens again!!

Yes, as a fan of both P&F and animation in general I was aware of Dan Povenmire's pervious work, including the fact that both Dan and Swampy both worked on Rocko's Modern Life. That's why I used Family Guy as an example of a show living past it's prime just for the sake of making a few bucks. This is why I love shows like Spaced which ended after two seasons because the cast felt they've done all they needed to do dispite fans sending letters to the studio demanding more episodes.
