Okay, so I am going to be 24 this month and I still watch The Disney Channel. lol Is there something bad about that?

I think some of the shows they have on there now are a little cheesy. But, I still love most of them. I really was a big Hannah Montana fan. I have been watching TDC since I was 5.

I was just curious to know if any others watch it as well and if you like it.

Also, what are some of your favorite present or past time shows or movies that you or your kids love.

Some of my favorites
present: Phineas and Ferb, Good Luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly Place, ANT Farm, Shake It Up
past: Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Bug Juice, That's So Werid, That's So Raven, Zenon of the 21st century, Kim Impossible, The Proud Family, Hannah Montana, The Famous Jett Jackson, Halloweentown, Johnny Tsunami, High School Musical 1,2 & 3, and Camp Rock.

and, yes you are allowed to make fun of me for this thread. I am used to it.:p

Honestly, it's not for me -- then again, I am a 36-year-old woman who did not grow up with the Disney Channel, so for me, there's no sentimental attachment. That being said, I wouldn't dream of making fun of you for enjoying it!

I don't let my kids watch anything but the morning cartoon lineup on The Disney Channel. They're 4 and 6, and I don't think the sassy, back-talking teenagers on there (all of whom seem to have mysteriously absent -- or just daft -- parents) are any better role models for young children than the ones on non-Disney TV. When they're a bit older and more discerning, however, it will be just fine.

My kids watch Disney Channel and love the Halloween episodes this month. Whenever we're at WDW, after we get back to the hotel for the night, the TV goes on and they watch Disney shows in Disney. It's surreal.

My dear wife and I watch the Disney channel alot, we get a good old fashion laugh out of many of the shows. I aways figured that it's because we grew up in a time when TV was a lot milder than today.

To be blunt, I the only things keeping me from positively hating the Disney Channel is Phineas and Ferb and the times old DCOMs come on, like Zenon, Halloweentown, Horse Sense, Johnny Tsunami, etc.. The current Disney Channel is absolutely terrible, IMO. Corny and terribly written shows, Tweens EVERYWHERE, barely any signs of Mickey and the gang. I just can't stand it. The madness started when That's So Raven appeared. It was the beginning of the end. That was really the only decent show of Disney Channel's new era. The shows are so mediocre and cliche as ever. It sickens me.

I grew up with Playhouse Disney, Zoog Disney and Vault Disney. I miss shows like Bear in the Big Blue House, Out of the Box, So Weird, Bug Juice, etc.. Pretty much every single show that came on during that time. I just recently found out the show Dinosaurs is on Netflix. I was so ecstatic. I loved that show as a kid. Vault Disney was amazing. I'm twenty years old but I grew up knowing Disney classics, like Zorro, the original Mickey Mouse Club, The Wonderful World of Color, classic films and shorts, like Silly Symphonies and the Goofy How-To's. Those were THE BEST, and they screamed Disney. I took my nephew to see Zorro at the Walt Disney Studios, and Guy Williams' family was there. Williams' wife asked my nephew if it was the first time he had seen Zorro. My nephew hadn't even heard of Zorro, let alone seen it. It just makes me so angry. This generation of Disney kids don't know anything about classic Disney. They've got Shake It Up (hurl) and Ant Farm (geezus) shoved into their faces.

What happened to hilarious shows like Even Stevens?!?! Great family shows like Lizzie McGuire and The Famous Jett Jackson. And Toon Disney, where they actually aired cartoons?!?! Does anyone remember Goof Troop and Darkwing Duck? Ducktales and Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. Who remembers Recess, Pepper Ann and Doug? Best shows ever. Now Disney Channel is crap.

Sorry for the rant.

HONESTLY, I totally agree with you. And, I forgot about Bug Juice! I watch it still but often am thinking how much I truely miss the old shows and original movies. They were 1000 times better. It seems to me like they ran out of concepts or something (besides Phineas and Ferb and Good Luck Charlie) which are 2 of my favorites to watch (as in present Disney Channel era) Phineas and Ferb is brilliant and Good Luck Charlie has a good concept with good laughs.

The others as in Jesse, shake it up, ant farm are watched by me (not going to lie) but I have to admit when I watch them is when Im thinking to myself, "bring back Lizzie or Zenon"

Idk what has happened. Maybe it's the generation..idk what teens like these days but my best bet is that they would choose lizzie, hannah, louis stevens, zack & cody, and gordo over these new shows anyday.

I'm 24 too, and still enjoy watching the Disney Channel. I babysit my nieces (4, 3 1/2, and 1 years old) 4 days a week, so I'm able to get my fix with Playhouse Disney in the mornings!

my fiance will watch Good Luck Charlie with me and we will get a lot of good laughs but anything else on there these days I am on my own with those. lol

He likes Old school 90's/millenium Disney much better.

Only Disney Jr and Phineas and Ferb. We record them on our DVR so the kids can watch them without commercials.

I cannot see it because you tube or videos are blocked at work lol but what is it?

A few scenes from ANT Farm with some dumb blonde and a Lady GAGA parody woman..It's good that it's blocked from where you are..Trust me..LOL...

Now THIS On the other hand is What The Disney Channel should still be...Family entertainment..
