Not our departure day, but the day when I am going to Orlando and NOT visiting Disney World!!😢 I knew this day was coming for a few years. I am a former Cast Member and my time working for The DIsney Company has been the highlight of MY LIFE! It was incredible! But in recent years thins have been going downhill. From price hikes to bad decisions for park overhauls to VERY BAD decisions for new additions to the parks. Animal Kingdom getting the Tropical Americas, replacing Dino Land USA. and The Magic Kingdom REPLACING The Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island for a CARS area! Yes a cartoon IP area with only 2 attractions and a few shops for food and merchandise. RoA and TSI have been opening day attractions. A ride on the Riverboat was a nice relaxing break from the hot pavement, standing in long lines', just a place where you know you could relax for a few minutes and take in the scenery of BTMR, TSI and the HM. it is because of these and many other RIDICULOUS decisions that I have finally decided that NOW is the time to say NO to going to Disney and Yes to Universal. My next trip is NOT going to include ANTYTHING Disney. Someone has got to start the ball rolling of saying NO to Disney and it might as well be me! I hope some of you who feel similar will start to say NO MORE DISNEY when you plan your trip to Orlando. There is sooo much to do other than the parks and the prices are much lower than the parks!
Thanks for listening and allowing me to vent my opinion!! If you feel differently and think Disney is a good value and experience for you, I'm happy for you and wish you well. But as for me, I have come to my breaking point. Goodbye Disney. 😢

This decision is what you feel is the right one for you and it's good you can find other ways to enjoy Orlando. Voicing your opinion and how you are adjusting your vacation time is fine with me.
Our next trip back will be one of trying out what the new Uni has to offer. We still will add Disney days in because although we may not like all the changes, Dis still gives us enough to enjoy. Hopefully down the line Disney will see where they are making errors and will return to being a place we all can enjoy.

Do you hear that sucking sound? Its Universal sucking tourist from WDW.

And lets be clear, its not only because of the EPIC things Universal is doing in Orlando, its because of the EPIC things Universal is doing PLUS all the things listed above!!!!!

I hope you have an EPIC time in Orlando! šŸ‘

There is so much to do in the Orlando area thats not either of those. There is Gatorland, SeaWorld, Funspot, Kennedy Space center. There is so much to do outside the "Bubble"
I vote for SeaWorld if you like coasters. They added three new coasters in three years.

Disney announces something three years in a row before dirt moves šŸ˜‰šŸ˜‰šŸ˜‰

Epic Universe will be...well, EPIC! And personally, I think Disney is in trouble and will lose in attendance! But the bright side of Universal taking guests from Disney, is that Disney parks should not be too busy...so it may be a good time for you to go to Disney...maybe Disney should lower their prices TEMPORARILY? lol That won't happen because Disney is too greedy!!!

Universal and the other parks will get my money! Did you know there is a place in the area where you can feed sloths, porcupines, capybaras and lemurs?

But, but, but…they’re not Disney sloths, porcupines, capybaras and lemurs…???!!! šŸ¤”;)

WDW may feel a little dip in attendance, but MK will stay on top or at worst top three with DLR and Universal Japan.

In my opinion, Disney will NEVER lower prices. We would maybe see "Deals" here and there, but I fully expect the usual yearly price increases on everything.

IMO, they do not justify the prices increases. Look at the food, increased prices and less quantity and QUALITY!

Comical…..as I repeat and plagiarise the most common digs pertaining to Disney, I still drop in my past as a CM ……

CMs see it as taboo to mention their past in posts/conversations…..

But hey…I did comment…. Attention was gained…

Hopefully you’ll post a forwarding link as to where to find you in the future…we’ll miss you
