By early last year the Mandalorian merch carts were creeping under the bridge and into the edges of GE. And last March, days before they closed, I bought one of the very first release of the Baby Yoda plush. In the Marketplace. In GE. Was in a line that snaked halfway back to the exit as word got out as it was the first really good merch of the character! It sold out quickly and I spent the rest of the day carrying little Grogu as everyone asked "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!" I told them GE, but it was sold out.Today at Galaxy's Edge they started selling the Darksaber from the Mandalorian inside Dok-Ondar’s. Here's a picture from Disneyland News Today:
Doesn't seem to be really worth the price, but as far as I'm aware this is the first Mandalorian themed merchandise to be exclusive to GE, with Disney previously having merch carts under the bridge (technically in Frontierland) selling Mando knick knacks so not to break canon. Makes me wonder if we'll see more themed experiences for the Mandalorian come very soon to Galaxy's Edge.
So yeah, the 'immersion' was already slipping over a year ago.
