For Park Icons with rides would you have to pay for the icon itself + the ride? So GMR would be 85 mil for being a medium dark ride + medium park icon. Also, do all icons have to be charged like that (Like Everest, ToT, and Space Mountain), or just the central one?

Disney Announces New Florida Park for 2015
The Walt Disney Company Announces New Theme Park Experience for Walt Disney World​

Orlando, FL:Today, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the company's plan to break ground on a fifth gate for the popular Walt Disney World Resort in 2015. The park, tentatively named "Disney's Discovery Kingdom, is expected to break ground in early 2013, with an announced opening date of November 6, 2015. Touting the promise of "seamless cohesive theme", the park is rumored to feature an overarching story centered around the "Society of Explorer's and Adventurers," a club cleverly hidden in many rides throughout the Disney parks worldwide. Disney officials have also stated the park to be "Victorian in aesthetic, with a fantastical feel."

CEO Bob Iger has been quoted, saying "This brand new experience, we hope, will bring guests to brand new worlds, allowing them to have brand new experiences utilizing the latest technology." COO Tom Staggs has said of the new project "I couldn't be happier with the project of this new park. It truly is something not seen at a Disney park before. I'm very excited."

Disney's Discovery Kingdom would be the first park to open in Walt Disney World since the 1998 opening of Disney's Animal Kingdom.





So, I guess this is the announcement of my park, Disney's Discovery Kingdom. All you need to know right now is in the press release. The project will be posted in multiple parts, in a linked google doc, if I may. Below is a list of each topic of discussion, for the park. Over time, I'll add links to each topic, bringing you right to the document. Consider this post a hub to my project, I suppose. Expect this first part up next week, with the subsequent parts to follow soon after.

I would say it would fit in the "small" category. It probably cost less than the 10 mill a small costs in the comp, but for this comp 10 million isn't that much in the grand scheme of things

Walt Disney's Dream to break ground this fall!​

Today TWDC announced through the Wall Street Journal that a new park will be opening to the East of the useless-waste-of-space Richard Petty Driving Experience. It will be themed around Walt Disney's own dreams (and maybe some nightmares) hosted buy everyones beloved Dreamfinder, with Figment joining in the fun sometimes as well.

Walt Disney World's Fifth Park Announced

Today, The Walt Disney Company announced a fifth park secretly broke ground in 2011. The new park will be called Forbidden Peak and will be themed around the mysterious characters and classic villains inhabiting the park. The focal point of the park was also announced. In the center of the park will be Bald Mountain from Disney's Fantasia. The park will finish all phase 1 construction by 2015 opening and will add on for the 2021 50th anniversary.
