(No, not trying to be gross) Ok, I'm sure some of you already knew this, but I was just informed today that Walt referred to the castle as a primary weenie...like the hot dogs he used to bait his dogs with to come to him.
The quote I'm reading about MSUSA and the castle says, "What you need is a weenie, which says to people 'come this way.' People won't go down a long corridor unless there's something promising at the end. You have to have something that beckons them to 'walk this way.'"
So, the homing beacon effect I feel with the castle was intentional (Which I kind of figured)..and is the result of a weenie (which I didn't figure). Funny that you can actually get a weenie at the end of MSUSA by stopping into Casey's.
I guess maybe this is why the hat was added to DHS...I.e. they felt they needed a stronger beckoning force?
Still, just kind of floored that the castle was included because of a simple dog luring trick. Definitely my 'who knew' for the day.
