A growing grassroots campaign has started in Virginia to revive Disney's America, this time in Williamsburg. This is based upon the likelihood of InBev selling Busch Entertainment and Disney being a potential purchaser of the parks which would hand them Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va.

Heh - that little section of the Commonwealth is a convergence zone. Even a small nor'easter can drop a good foot or more of snow with 24-48 hours while Norfolk (30 minutes drive) might get just a dusting. I can't remember any year the Old Country ever stayed open year-round.

Past that, it's not too bad an idea (honest) in some ways. Years ago I would have said no but the whole area, including the old town, has become so commercialized, I don't think it matters anymore. Walking down Duke of Gloucester even a few years ago made me want to cry with what they had done to the place (think BAD tourist trap). Can't wait for the fastfood joints to be built right in the Jamestown fort or on the battlefield at Yorktown. If the Mouse did come in to town, you can bet EVERYONE else is gonna want a piece of the pie from the crowds they attract.
