The Best Part Of Disney

Ok I was wondering what everyones favorite thing about Disney is, it can be anything! and also try and think of one thing that you dislike. Ok here are mine.


1. My favorite thing is the feeling that you get when wou first enter a park.

2. Ont thing that I dislike is that there isnt a park up north.

I love the smell!! There is just something magical about the smells that surround WDW. Don't you love walking around the parks and DTD just smelling all hte great food! Also the AC in the buildings! Ah must be that great mix of sweat and asbestos(sp?)! Whatever it is I love it!

the smell of disney is very distinct, and i love it. I cant choose, cuz i love it all and my list would be longer than the bible. but, i would have to say the atmosphere is the greatest. (this thread should be in general discussion, not News/Rumors)

I have to say its the curtain that does it for me (or front gate in other words)

Walking up to it i start to get excited, thinking about all the fun im about to have (and money im about to spend). And then it all hits me, the sounds the smell, the feeling, everything, each park has this effect on me and i can't get enough of it. When i arrive in florida i can't think about anything until after ive passed a Disney Turnstyle, my holiday doesn't start until that point.

I like how everything seems to sparkle when you first walk in and how the colors and sounds hit you full on and you know you are "home"......

I dislike that I never get to see everything in one trip (but then again, that gives me an excuse to plan the next trip, so scratch that!) :lol:

That is so, so true. When you arrive you are all excited and can't wait to experience everything. You see the sign on the highway and go ballistic, knowing that you are finally there!

On the flip side, on that sucky morning that you have to go back, seeing that sign in the rear-view is the worst!!

Also, I love when first getting off the plane you see everyone waiting to go home. They are all tanned and decked out in disney gear. I notice that they look really, really sad. The kids are crying and the adults look really bummed. I always feel really bad, especially knowing that in 8 days, that'll be me waiting to board the plane home.

I love walking through the gates to the first park of the trip (MK or Epcot) and seeing the castle/ball. I usually starting running towards my first ride of the day. The sound of music and smells of all the great food.

I dislike going to sleep on the last night you are there knowing when you wake up it is time to pack and go home.

I have to agree, once you go through that tunnel I leave the rest of the world behind. The smells, magic, sights and feelings just hit you all at once. I'm getting misty eyed just thinking about it.

Dislike - has got to the passanger security line at MCO. If going home is not depressing enough, that line is very slow.

Favorite - hard to narrow done to one, but the Monorail ride to EPCOT especially when you are entering and riding through the park before stopping at the in EPCOT station

I love the smell of WDW and of AKL lobby especially. Nothing really beats walking into the MK after not being there for a year. I also like the blast of humidity at MCO while waiting for DME!! I think I like the whole experience!
