You have to choose one of the waterparks over the other. One you can continue to visit, the others you can never visit again.

It's a close call for me.

We haven't yet been to Volcano Bay but have been to the others sans River Country.

My list is:

1) Blizzard Beach - It's unique and love the slides. The chair lift is a detail that only Disney could pull off in a water park.

2) Aquatica - Love the lazy rivers and probably has the best thrill rides.

3) Typhoon Lagoon - Outside of the wave pool, the slides are sub par IMO.

Blizzard Beach is extremely well themed. The Runoff Rapids staircase really feels like you’re walking up a mountain (since it’s actually made from sand and dirt, there is so much landscaping!). In addition, ever since they added the tube conveyor for Runoff Rapids, you don’t have to carry a tube up any slide anymore! Plus, you don’t have to ever go up the stairs because every slide is accessible from the ski lift now.

Typhoon is really nice because of how relaxing it is. Really nice music along with lush tropical landscaping.

Volcano Bay is a good cross between Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard beach, though the slides are freestanding (they just sit on concrete and metal poles) instead of being on a themed mountain. My only issue at Volcano is the lines and the required bus transfer…

Might have just been the time we went, but I remember the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon being unnaturally cold.

Have you been to Aquatica?

I’ve wanted to go but Aquatica and Seaworld in general got a little rough coming out of Covid with their dirt-cheap tickets. Hopefully within the next year or so! I at least just have to go so I don’t have to say I’ve never gone even though I live 20 mins away!

As for the water temperature, they post the water temperatures on the sign as you enter, but the heater broke about a month before they closed down for refurb. They did temporary fixes but it was off and on.

It's a close call between River Country and TL for me...

1 TL with Shark Reef takes the top spot. The park lost so much in atmosphere, theming and variety of offerings when they closed it. With it, Typhoon Lagoon is heaven and I could stay there a whole century.

2 River Country. Small, but fabulous theming and so much fun stuff to do. Killer setting, blending in with the natural surroundings. Very well being a part of it. Back when WDW was the exotic destination itself, instead of a parking lot with hotels and parks unrelated to the natural environment.

3 Blizzard. Awesome theming too, not the ugly stepsister of TL at all. And some of the finest slides and wave pools around. The park can't really choose between the Alpine wintersport resort, Christmas, and cartoony gator theme. Plus Frozen. Pick one story and tell that one.

4 Aquatica. Like most of Sea World, quality with a lush, relaxing setting.

5 Volcano Bay. It's good, but doesn't really vibe with me. The lazy river goes too fast, the music is too loud, the park is too nervous to be the lush tropical getaway the others are.

I haven't been to Aquatica yet, I will eventually but my ranking is:

Volcano Bay > Typhoon Lagoon > Blizzard Beach

I like all 3 but I had the most fun at Volcano Bay the most. I got one of the mini cabanas for like $100 back in March & had an amazing day. The beach they have there is fantastic & I loved the rides, the water coaster was so much fun.

Typhoon Lagoon has better theming. There's a lot of charming story elements & physical sets throughout; I adore all of that, some of my favorite theming at Disney. Buuut the park is super tiny feeling.

Typhoon Lagoon!! Even after continually getting kicked out of that wave pool for aggressive body surfing, it is still a terrific theme with awesome landscape, fun slides, great music, solid food, and an overall awesome atmosphere. Typhoon is my all time fav Disney park!

Ahh yes, the dreaded rule of having to stop before the red line! Very strictly enforced…

Though, sometimes you can ride one to the shore on a less busy day. They’ll always give you at least one warning.
