The backside of Everest

Anyone know if there are plans to theme/hide the rather unattractive back of Expedition Everest? It's a great ride.....I just think the view from the Animal Kingdom parking lot and Blizzard Beach...which makes it look like a warehouse...takes away a bit of the magic.

I think a few well placed trees will take care of the warehouse look.

Of course, it'll take several years before the themeing grows into maturity.

I was just there last weekend, and I don't think the view from the parking lot is that bad. The trees that are between the two actually are very effective in hiding it, especially now that they painted it the same color as the brown of the mountian.

Yeah I didn't think it was that bad either.

For what its worth, Jim Hill says they will work on the backside of the mountain once they get it up to smooth and routine operation.

And the trees at least will probably grow to a point where the backside is hidden, much better than the ugly and very visible "stage" building for the Rockin' Rollercoaster at MGM.

I am almost certain they have some plans to hide it somehow. As others have mentioned, it's more important to get the show elements working first and then they can focus on hiding the backside. The easiest option will just be trees, but they'll take some time to grow in.

Honestly, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Would it have been better were it a full mountain, certainly, but I walked all over the park back in January and never even noticed that the mountain wasn't complete. It wasn't until I came here and read all the comments that it even dawned on me.

Well, it's interesting that the complainers never complained about the "other" mountains that weren't finished or the other show buildings that could be seen in the early stages. In any event, it's also sad that the very meticulous and detailed queue is overlooked but yet the back of the show building garners this much attention.

I have an idea for some of those worried about the back of EE. Go stand at the exit of EE and ask every person getting off whether they even knew about the semi-exposed show building. The ones that do, ask how they found out. I bet it was on a forum. ;)

The buildings in the studios are supposed to be soundstages I believe.
