Thank you…!!! :)

Not sure what you’re using to take your pics with, but those pics were taken with an iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The camera automatically defaults to “Night Mode” in low-light situations, meaning there will be a longer exposure. The exposure time shows up in a yellow oval icon in the upper left of your phone screen. This is great if both you and your subject are still for the required time. Not good if you or your subject (or both) are moving.
In the first screenshot below, you can see the oval in the upper left showing 3 seconds of exposure time (it will vary, depending on the sensor).
The screenshot below the above screenshot shows the night mode disabled, which is done by simply tapping the icon.

Some of my previous posts in this thread explain that I was having trouble “dialing in” my iPhone camera. The problem was solved when I simply consulted our SonIL, who was also on the trip with us…!!!!! :hilarious:
I sure wish I woulda’ “consulted” with him at the beginning of the trip…!!! ;)
Hope this info helps…!!! :)

Thanks for the info!! I got my phone less than a year ago so I’m assuming it’s a somewhat newer model so I would think it should have that feature. I never remember what phone I have!!
I am going to have to try this out!!

You’re welcome…!!! :)
All the scenes in the dark rides, generally, have enough light on them where you don’t really need an extended exposure anyway, so it worked out great once that was figured out…!!! :)

Sunday, June 30th, and another non-Park day continued…!!! :)

After our wonderful food and character experience at ‘Ohana, we then hopped a monorail and headed for another resort…!!! :)

IMG_4327.jpeg

On the way, we passed the second Poly DVC blight on the Seven Seas Lagoon… :cautious:

IMG_4341.jpeg

Yes, blight is different than plight…!!!!! :hilarious:;)

Obviously, we were on our way to the Grand Floridian. We actually have no plans of ever staying here, as, although we appreciate the theming, the gingerbread/Victorian-ish atmosphere is a little much for our tastes.
Nevertheless, another well done Disney resort…!!! :)

Although the Grand Floridian has never been on our bucket list for a stay, we have still enjoyed self-touring it over the years…!!! :)

Also, Emmy and Audrey had some fun with a PPP photoshoot…!!!!! :inlove::happy:

After that, we chatted with a nice CM who was doing a flower arrangement in the lobby, for a coupla’ minutes.
Of course, DS asked, and she definitely loves her job…!!!!! :hilarious:;)

IMG_4424.jpeg

Also, I always hafta’ get some sorta’ shot of the GF lobby ceiling…!!!!! :geek:;)

IMG_4435.jpeg

Then, we headed out to do some more self-touring of the grounds…!!! :)

The pixie dust in WDW is definitely the CMs who are so talented, in their respective jobs. The floral arrangements in the GF are always gorgeous, and I'm glad that your family took a moment to express your appreciation to her. I'm sure it also made her day as well!

I guess I always just assumed they did that kinda’ work backstage, and then brought them out onstage.
Easy enough with the smaller arrangements, but not so much with the larger ones, maybe…?
Plus, it’s possibly something fun for many Guests (like us) to watch for a bit…!!! ;)
She had a drop cloth down and it looked like a fairly involved operation, actually…!!! :)

There are still plenty of the old-style busses…

IMG_4548.jpeg

But, as I posted earlier in this TR, the themed/wrapped buses can make the wait for your particular bus slightly more entertaining…!!! ;):)

If anyone out there is wondering how you look cool drivin’ a bus…??? 🤔
You, simply, wear a hat like the one pictured below…!!!;)

We arrived at our destination about 15 minutes later…

We were after a certain snack, and we first found a table here…

The snack was not from here…

But, from here, where the ladies found a closer table…!!! :)

Some of y’all may (or may not ;)) remember from my last TR that my DWifey, Carolyn, was on a quest for POFQ beignets on that trip in early October of last year, for Emmy and Audrey to have for breakfast the next morning.
We tried to get to POFQ so we could secure them before our internet friends meetup at POR to see Yehaa Bob, but that was abandoned because it was already getting late and we would have missed front table seats for Bob.
The next morning we (Carolyn, Matthew and myself) got up early to head from our AKL room to AK, to then catch a bus to POFQ to get the beignets to surprise Emmy and Audrey with a slightly late breakfast.
Well, while we were waiting at the AK bus stop to catch a bus to POFQ, Sarah got a call from Megan, and when Sarah told her what we were doing, Megan promptly called Carolyn to tell her to forget the darn beignets and for us to get back to AKL to have breakfast with Emmy and Audrey, and then go for a swim.
On this trip, my dear Carolyn was not going to be thwarted from her beignet quest, so…

More from Spaceship Earth…!!! :)

Disney can do some seriously fun projection on this puppy these days, and it’s pretty cool…!!! :)

I first rode this attraction on our honeymoon in Dec. of ‘88 on my first WDW visit, and it was the Walter Cronkite version.
The Vic Perrin version was before that, so, obviously, never rode that, but I have watched YouTube video…!!! :)

So, after we finished our beignets, the rain began…

IMG_9514.gif

OK, so it wasn’t nearly that bad ;), but just enough to be slightly annoying…

IMG_4665.jpeg

We then headed to the bus stop to catch a bus to Epcot, and had #shirleystatus…!!!!!

IMG_4671.jpeg

While we were on our way to Epcot the rain stopped.
Although not our bus at Epcot back to OKW, another cute bus wrap…!!! :)

IMG_4685.jpeg

Then our bus showed up, so did the rain again, and we had #shirleystatus, yet again, on our bus back to OKW…!!!!!

IMG_4723.jpeg

By the time we got back to OKW, at about 2:45p, the rain had stopped again.
The view of the pond behind our building from our lanai, the fountain off to the right, and the ducks were on the pond…we had no more rain for the rest of the day…!!! :)
