The Aristocats, Overwhelminglly Charming with an Unfortunate Stain of Racism

This week we watched The Aristocats!



I hadn't seen this one before, but it is among Jess Top 10!

Overall, I really enjoyed this one, it is oozing with charm and character. I would rank it in my Top 5, but unfortunately the stain of racism makes you cringe through one of the best Disney songs!

Having just come back from Tokyo Disneyland, it's really quite interesting how much more popular the Aristocats (especially Marie) is in Japan than in the US and France.

We've heard about that, apparently the Japanese are CRAZY for Marie!?

Of all the little ones, why not Tulouse or Berlioz?

Probably because she's a girl and I guess that makes her cuter than the other two? Despite that, in Tokyo Disneyland all three kittens appear as meetable characters as opposed to just Marie.

Oh, that's cool, I had only heard about Marie. Glad the other two get some of the limelight!
