How could this be possible? Walt died before construction of any kind had even started at Walt Disney World.

Oy.

The plan, when Walt was alive, was to have a place for him to stay at during the construction of the Mouse House.

Unfortunatly. The plans fell through because, well, thats obvious. And if it isnt, kill yourself.

There is a difference between design and construction.

Well, I would be second in line behind SweetPea. Talk about a dream location. Even a tiny room with tiny windows, I mean come on, Cinderella's Castle and I would be an overnight guest. Now mind you, I could not afford it but once, and would not consider it just to increase Disney's bottom line, but the charity idea, now that would be another story. How do you suppose you could introduce this idea to someone that actually had some pull? What a way to raise money for a good cause. I know, not gonna happen, wishful thinking.

I believe this was the room of the infamous "peeping tom" drama. I know some of you hardcore Disney folks know what I'm talking about.

Geraldo does Disney `Peeping Tom' story

Television talk show personality Geraldo Rivera is using news clips from Orlando Business Journal's 1994-95 coverage of the "Peeping Tom" incident at Walt Disney World's Cinderella Castle for one of his September shows. The show's date hasn't been determined.

"We needed the material to help put together a segment showing how prevalent the Peeping Tom and privacy invasion issues are in our society," says Diane Vincent, the show's assistant producer.

The show was taped Aug. 22. "It went very well," she says.

Six female dancers in Disney's Kids of the Kingdom troupe settled a 3-year-old federal invasion of privacy and sexual harassment lawsuit against Disney on Dec. 4, 1995. The dancers sought total damages of $37.5 million. The monetary settlement amount was not disclosed in court papers.

The dancers' male dresser used a peephole to watch the dancers disrobe in their dressing room. Disney fired him ...

The imagineers still built the room because of walts design. The idea was maybe Walt's family could use it when they visited. Walt's wife or some one then halted the construction just as the room was being finished. They figured it wasnt like disney land and there was a hotel that disney owned close enough that a room was not needed.

Then as others said it was a telephone room until the one used now was built.

Today it is a storage room/dressing room for the castle show and tink.

isn't this what I said previously as well as in previous threads regarding this? isn't my first hand experience enough?

also... the tour guides aren't 100% (not even 90%) accurate on what they say... that script is a it out of date.

I just wondered-- Is/are there any floor plans or blueprints of the interior of the castle that the public could see? :)

Don't worry I trust you Rob. And I know you are right about the tour gides, some facts were not right. I was just stating what someone said and others dont want to listen to what you were saying.
