==== The New decade of Epcot Transformation: Journey to Epcot 2.0 2011-2020====
2011: It's now 2011 Epcot is 1 year away from it's 30th anniversary which will bring new attractions and experiences to Epcot over the next 2 years concluding with the addition of a new World Showcase Pavilion in 2013 with this being said the early 2010's are bringing increased attendance and profits to the Parks helping them make a full recovery from the 2008 economic crisis which in turn is leading to an increase of money for continued expansions and changes to Disney Parks around the world including Epcot that will help keep it relevant and great for many more years and decades ahead. The Major changes for Epcot in 2011 are the addition of La Cantina de San Angel Quick service Mexican Restaurant in the Mexico Pavillion, The La Hacienda de San Angel Indoor Mexican Table Service Restaurant with views of World Showcase Lagoon and flexibility that allows the Restaurant space to be used during the day by The Cantina before dinner table service starts at 4pm this Restaurant brings a much needed second Table Service Restaurant for Mexico, New exhibits for Norway, Japan and Morrocco, work begins on a new larger pastries restaurant for France, Germany Pavilion adds a Rapunzel and Flynn meet'n'greet, Project Tomorrow adds a new interactive exhibit Tech of Tomorrow, Recyling for The Planet replaces Don't Waste it in Innoventions East, Take a Nanooze break opens in Innoventions East, The Energy of the Universe in Innoventions West is updated, The Great Computer show in Innoventions West is updated in collaboration with HP, IBM, Apple and Microsoft to keep it relevant for guests, All quick service restaurants in Epcot get updated menus, Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines with 106 different drink chooses debut in Electric Umbrella, Inoventors Cafe, Sunshine Seasons and Liberty Inn, Taste Track begins daily year round operations, Fastpass is added to Captain EO, New entertainment experinces, The Space Pavilion begins it's multi-phase update project that begins with the full closure of the Hall of Space Travel and gift shop for a major refresh that causes a re-route of the exit area until Fall 2012, The Seas Pavilion refreshes it's exhibits and carpeting, Imageworks adds 1 new interactive exhibit experience, Nikon begins Sponsorship of Journey into Imagination replacing Kodak, New updated Popcorn/Snack stands debut in Future World, All Park tip-boards are updated to Digital Screens ahead of technology upgrades for the guest experience, Epcot Character Spot tests a return time system, Club Cool adds 2 new international drink flavors, the 18th Annual Flower and Garden Festival presented by HGTV adds 12 new character topiaries, 2 new gardens, 4 new garden seminars, 5 Garden demos, more Special book and autograph signings with HGTV stars and experts, special entertainment, expanded merchandise and is expanded to 60 days, The 16th annual Food and Wine Festival presented by Food Network adds 4 new food marketplaces, 3 new pop-up merchandise marketplaces,8 new food seminars with Food network stars and celebrity chefs, 2 new upcharge dining experiences, expanded merchandise and more eat to the beat concerts, Holidays Around the World adds updated food offerings, expanded merchandise, new special holiday character meeting experiences, refreshed holiday decor and a Joy a celebration debuts on The Fountain of Nations stage and The Tapestry of Nations gets show tech upgrades and refreshed Tapestry puppets ahead of upcoming changes to the Parade in 2012. Beyond the changes to Epcot for 2011 work continues on the Greece Pavilion for 2013 along with work on Disney Nature Earth Adventure coming in 2012 and The Space Pavilion begins it's three phase update project that will be fully complete in 2014 in addition to this the Horzions update makes progress for a 2012 debut, plans for the re-build of Innoventions East move forward, plans for The Energy pavilion renovation are delayed in order to make the project better, the updated Impressions de France begins filming and the updated Carousel of Progress begins prep for a 2014 debut all of those major developments for Epcot will help it remain relevant and great for years to come through exciting new attractions and experiences for guests that will bring guests back to Epcot while new guests experience Epcot for the first time which in turn will ensure the continued popularity and success of Epcot well into the 2010's and for many decades ahead giving Epcot a bright future of transformation for the park.
