The 15 days of Disney wedding and Disneymoon PTR

Hello and welcome to my 15-day wedding and Disneymoon pre trip report! You may remember me from my attempted first trip report that came eight months late. Yes, I have up on that one. I honestly can't remember what I had for breakfast, much less what I did 8 months ago! Now that I know what a trip report is, I want to do this the right way! So here it is, my first ever PTR! It's gonna be a long one (you've been warned)!

The cast:

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Tracy.

I'm a 24 year old, prior-Air Force, college student with a possibly unhealthy love for Disney and Disney World in particular. This makes my fourth trip to Disney World since my very first trip in 2009. This time I am much more knowledgable thanks to you wonderful people! I have spreadsheets, apps, calendars... I'm sure it'll all go out the window the second we hit the ground running. My favorite park, by far, is Epcot. I think it would be fairly accurate to say that I spent 80% of my 2010 trip in the World Showcase. My favorite ride is Spaceship Earth, shockingly enough. I would be the happiest girl alive if it would break down while I was on it, forcing me to walk through. My favorite character is Belle. In fact, she will be walking with me down the aisle since she's painted on the bottom of my wedding shoes! But enough about me.

Coda is my partner in crime.

Coda is a 27 year old merchant marine. This will be his second trip to Disney World. Fortunately I convinced him to buy into the Disney Vacation Club so there will be many more trips in the future. He generally tries to act like he's only going for me, but I'm fairly confident that is not the case. On our trip in March, he was determined not to have fun, not to buy anything (especially not t-shirts), and was confident that the lack of rollercoasters would be a drag. Well, let me tell you! Coda walked around the corner of Main Street USA and saw the castle and was immediately engulfed in the magic. He left with two t-shirts, an ornament, a souvenir mug, and a shaker from T-Rex. Now that our December trip is closing in, he's counting down the days right along with me!

The show:

So you may be asking yourself, what is the purpose for this trip? Well please allow me to quell your curiosity! Coda and I are going to Walt Disney World for an amazing, fifteen day wedding and honeymoon trip! We're actually leaving six days prior to the big day! Why? Because that's just how it worked out. I wanted to maximize my Disney time while scheduling my wedding on a day that would accomodate both our families.

The play-by-play:

Saturday, December 15th - Travel day!!! We'll spend this day driving 9 hours from North Carolina to the most magical place on earth! We should be checking in to Bay Lake Tower early in the evening and end the day with a quick service dinner and a possible stroll around the Magic Kingdom.

Sunday, December 16th - Magic Kingdom! We have to take a break mid-afternoon to get in a quick workout. Yes, you read right. We're scheduling time to workout during the days prior to our wedding. We are aware that we will be eating A LOT and both want to fit into our wedding attire on day six. Dinner is at Rose and Crown pub with Coda's brother, Levi and girlfriend, Carolyn who will be spending the remainder of the week with us!

Monday, December 17th - Marriage licenses! Well, just one. We have to get up bright and early to drive into Orlando for our marriage license! Can't get married without it! After that we'll head over to Universal Studios for the day! Of course we have to get in the obligatory workout, and dinner is at Artist Point. Just the two of us!

Tuesday, December 18th - This is another off property day. We're going to Islands of Adventure!!! I've never been and my fiance is just dying to get in some more coasters. After our evening workout, we're heading over to Wilderness Lodge for a quick service dinner followed by a romantic sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness.

Wednesday, December 19th - The day of parties! Coda and his brother will be ditching me and Carolyn for the day. I am starting my day totally solo with the unDiscovered Future World tour which I am completely stoked for! Afterwards, I'm meeting up with @maryszhi for lunch in France! After a full day of Epcot, the boys will be meeting Carolyn and I for dinner at Flying Fish Cafe, followed by ditching us again for a night of man stuff. But that's okay! Mary and I will be hitting up DTD or Epcot for what has been dubbed my "supercalifragicilistixpalidociuos hen night". ;)

Thursday, December 20th - We're spending the bulk of the day at Animal Kingdom! We really want to hit it before the huge Christmas crowds roll in! We'll try to get a workout in before our families meet us at our resort for the first time! Our rehearsal dinner is at Sanna at the request of my mother who has never been to WDW and is DYING to see the AK Lodge. After dinner we're hoping to get everyone to the lounge at BLT for the Christmas fireworks!

Friday, December 21st - MY WEDDING DAY!!! Yes, it's on the day the world ends, but what can I say? I'm not superstitious. The day will begin at MK with the whole family. Neither of our families have ever been with the exception of Levi! My mom and I will have to duck out really early for hair and makeup! Our wedding will be that afternoon at Sea Breeze Point, followed by cake, and then it's back to MK for more! Our reception dinner is at the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Saturday, December 22nd - 4:00am wakeup call! Hair and makeup again at the crack of dawn for my Epcot photo shoot! We have to get back into full wedding gear for this one! Afterwards we're having a post-wedding brunch with the family and then it's off to switch to Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village! After the switch it should be DHS for a couple hours and dinner at Narcoossee's so Coda can have his 2lb lobster.

Sunday, December 23rd - Today we'll finally get to relax! We're going to roll out of bed late and maybe head to DTD. Dinner at Coral Reef!

Monday, December 24th - Mini golf! We're starting the day a little late with Fantasia Gardens and lunch at Beaches & Cream. After that it's DHS and Sci-Fi for dinner!

Tuesday, December 25th - A Very Disney Christmas! Our only real plans for Christmas day is an 11am breakfast at Kouzzina's and dinner at Boma. We don't want to be confined to parks on such a mad day.

Wednesday, December 26th - Today it's back to Animal Kingdom with late lunch ADRs at Yak & Yeti! We've only ever eaten at the QS so we're really excited about this one! No dinner plans tonight, but we will be eating! At the Wishes Dessert Party!!! Yum!

Thursday, December 27th - Another lazy day! We'll probably head downtown for some shopping, or maybe do some resort hopping. Dinner is at Be Our Guest! That's right, I sat on the phone for four hours trying to get reservations! Then I realized I could just call DVC...

Friday, December 28th - Our last day!!! We're splitting our time between three parks, if all goes as planned. The day will start in Epcot and then we'll head over to DHS for a very late lunch at Hollywood and Vine as part of the Fantasmic experience. We'll catch the show at 6:30 and then hop over to MK for the rest of the night.

Saturday, December 29th - Home... :( We'll start the morning with a Boma breakfast and then make the 9 hour trek home.

Are you still with me?! Wow! You're a trooper! ;) Like I said, much of this will probably fly out the window as soon as we get there, but we'll see! I cannot wait to finally meet @maryszhi! And most importantly, I can't wait to get married! I'll take notes this time and not wait 8 months for the trip report.

Oh, and if you're interested, I'll be posting a food report as well!

Happy wedding day! So far it's been zombie free! Maybe it's just the Disney magic that's been holding them off! ;)

Hope all is well! We noticed the parks were getting busier on Sunday; very few peeps there until Saturday, and even then it wasn't that crowded!

I just watched the video on the blog. I must confess I might've shed a wee little tear. What can I say? I can't keep it dry at weddings... I even thought the sand ritual was cute in all its awkwardness!

You looked gorgeous in your wedding dress.
