Just Love Main St. Could spend all day walking the street and strolling thru the stores. Now knowing that Disney is all about the bottom line profit...the one store id love to see open up on Main St and one that I would think would bee a HUGE hit is a store dedicated to all Disney RESORT,ATTRACTION etc merchandise. T shirts with resort specific fronts...magnets...cups etc. Is there ONE person who would not flock to this store...unloading mucho dollars? It would be a Huge success IMHO...

I mean they have World of Disney. I'm not sure if the "resort store" would work well in the generally smaller spaces on Main Street

I'd love to see a hater store. I'm sure it would do well. when Disney changes anything, adds something, removes something, alters a slight hue in the paint on one inch of something people complain. now you can show your hate by getting a shirt to explaining the logical outrage. I hope they put it across from the bakery so I can sit and enjoy a brand of coffee I like, or on a hot day a nice cold frapachino as people tie me and Disney in with the devil for having and enjoying a specific product or brand. I hope Disney is ready for a fight when they swap red and blue powerades in one specific vending machine.

The stores throughout Walt Disney World used to have unique, location inspired merchandise. The same crap everywhere has better numbers when measuring each square foot individually.

And I'm not keen on the idea of a single store with such merchandise all piled together because it would be just as out of theme.

Um, a Resort store? At MK? Where day visitors don't all come from the Resorts?...They did away with resort merchandise years ago because they didn't make enough money off it it. They keep it at the deluxes and vacation club properties for advertising purposes more than making money. It would be nice to see a nook at World of Disney dedicated to resort merchandise, but I don't think that is an area they want to get back into...

By the way -- you can create your own Resort specific merchandise for whatever you want at places like Cafepress; Corporate Casuals; etc....

A Disney Time Machine shop where you could buy things from Mr Toad's Wild ride, Horizons, Skyway to Tomorrowland/Fantasyland, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, If You Had Wings, Extra Terrorestrial Alien Encounter, Swan Boats...etc etc etc.

There could be t-shirts, attraction posters, drink mugs, plush, action figures - all the possible merchandise they could make with these classic attractions. It would be amazing and likely the cause of me emptying my wallet very quickly.

Also, an actual time machine would be nice so we can also just go back and experience them again.

If I remember correctly in MK there is or used to be a place where you could get all sorts of hats. It was on the right hand side of the candy shop.
As for all the other suggestions Disney knows exactly what sells and to whom and when.
You'd be more apt to see a Starbucks show up on Main Street as it would be something many would go to.
Some of the other things wallets, bags etc... are sold only on line probably because WDW knows they do not sell in other locations. Just like their stores do not match on line or the parks.

Still there. :)

My vote is for the return of the Main Street Magic Shop or the pet store idea mentioned. Or a store that sold entirely vintage merchandise, with a mix of retro t's alongside vintage hats and turn-of-the-century style artwork.

Since Main Street is "retro" how bout a retro store. Bring back a lot of the old favorites people have bought from each decade. Make a store dedicated to selling these things. Items you cannot find anymore. Shirt prints, cookie jars, Post card, ect...
