Or .... all together now ;
"it's a world of laughter, a world or tears
its a world of hopes, its a world of fear
theres so much that we share
that its time we're aware
its a small world after all

CHORUS:
its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small, small world

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone.
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small small world "
This got a song going through my head, too.

...forget the hearse, 'cause ill never die...

...they got to catch me if they want me to hang...

I like, of course, "There's a Great Big, Beautiful Tomorrow," and other Disney songs. They stay in my head some. And I also like a lot of classic country, especially "Keep on the Sunny Side" by The Carter Family (as done best in recent years by The Whites on The Grand Ole Opry regularly). Or more modern country songs like "Chicken Fried" by the Zac Brown Band. And sometimes hymns from church.

But every once in a while, and this happened yesterday, I get this crazy song stuck in my head....

It was a serious anthem for those of us who grew up in the eighties. And check out the video. Still amazing that Michael Jackson and Lionel Ritchie and Kenny Rogers (who wrote it as I remember) helped get everyone together that night after the Grammys to record the song and video at the same time. The only one, as I remember, who was not there was Ray Charles. He was tracked and added in separately.

I wonder if anyone could pull that off today.

I also remember that they kept having sound issues, hearing a high-pitched clang sound. And they ultimately figured out that it was Cyndi Lauper's gaudy jewelry. Funny.

All worthy of an anthem that gets in your head and stays there!

I. Can't. Just. Pick. One. I have so many songs that I can't pick just one so I'll limit it to ten different songs from 10 different artists.

Viva La Vida - Coldplay
City of Blinding Lights - U2
Somewhere I Belong - Linkin Park
When I Come Around - Green Day
Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi
I'm Still Standing - Elton John
I Go to Extremes - Billy Joel
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Hey Jude - The Beatles
Enter Sandman - Metallica

Let it Rock - Kevin Rudolph and Lil Wayne (vulgar song, but I like it)

I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) - Pitbull

Poker Face - Lady Gaga

I'm still hip and a bit of a wild woman, lol. ;)
