Hey all....

Sorry if this is already a thread, but oh well.

I absolutely love the changes to the Castle during the current celebration. Is there any info regarding what will happen to the castle after the HCOE is over? I'm hoping it keeps the modifications; what do you think will happen/want to happen with the castle when Jan 1st, 2008 comes around?

I've heard only the gold streamers are staying around the torrets, everything else, including the charactors will be removed. Or it could all be removed, I like the pre 2005 Castle (just not the cake version). :lol:

The Gold Statues of Peter Pan and Wendy are already planned for installation at Walt Disney Studios Paris Theme Park.

I hope none of it stays. I want the clean castle back. Don't get me wrong, I loved the cake castle, and I love the bling bling castle, but I want the nice normal castle back.

Yeah i wish it would all go.
Im getting maried at WDW in december and were having our photos at the castle. hopefully they will get rid of it all so we can have photos with the propper castle.

we already know that the peter pan characters are going to Paris. I'm assuming the mirror will come down but you never know. I could live with the rest of the gold on the castle if those two things were gone, but I'd prefer it to be the way it was.

Love the gold Love the mirror and hate the statues. I hate the old castle it was too plain for me. It needed to me spiced up. And now it is.

I have to stare at this castle 6 days a week for 10 hours each day. The old one was stating to get a little.... well old!!.

I too think that the castle looks better with the gold trimmings, but I want the mirror gone, I hate that.... the characters I could learn to live with... but lets all remember this is supposed to be a fantasy castle, so I think the trimmings do add to that

Man that castle is beautiful!!!!! Hope they do the same to the Fl one, although I highly doubt it as Disney want every castle around the world to be unique in some way!

My first year the castle was a Birthday Cake. We felt so special when we came back next year and said "Oh its not a birthday cake anymore" and several people looked at us like we were crazy.

I think its neat for occassional changes as long as the traditional is still underneath.

i would like a mix of the tokyo castle and the MK castle.
i think that they should darken the bricks and have the golden trimming ala tokyo's castle.
then remove just the mirror but keep all of the cool gold spiral things around the spires with characters like peterpan on them, and they should definately keep the great sparklely effect ot looks awesome a night.

btw does anyone know how that sparkle effect is done,i assumed it was done with really small fiberoptic lights bit you can see the effect in the daytime too even under the bright florida sun,so then i thought is it small glitter fragments embedded in the castle walls that reflect the light and flutter in the wind.
its intrigued me ever since last years trip.
can anyone help me out.?
