Thanksgiving Weekend Crowds

They have been in the past but who really knows this year? I have serious doubts that people can go and play anywhere when everyone I know is scared to spend a dime for fear it might be needed it later (I guess I should speak for myself here, but that is what I feel).

I think you can count on it being pretty crowded with the exception of Sunday when folks are heading home or back to school. And then there are the local crowds on a long holiday weekend....

We've been during Thanksgiving and then right after. It is definitely packed that holiday week--and who knows what it will be like this year if Easter was so crowded. I prefer to arrive the Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving and be there the following week. Crowds are starting to thin out upon arrival and by mid-week everywhere is manageable and all the Christmas decs. and shows are in full swing. Great time to visit.

I've heard from various people who have gone and they said from Wednesday thru Saturday is real busy.

We usually go the Tuesday or Wednesday after for a week and it's a pretty good time to go.

We are checking in the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving and leaving the day after. Are the crowds leading up to Thanksgiving day super busy as well?

Crowed!

We were at the World during the above mentioned time last year. The parks were very busy, much to our dismay. We thought right after Thanksgiving and into very early Dec. (08) the crowds would be light to moderate. The crowd level was moderate to heavy. But the parks were absolutely beautiful with the Christmas decoration in place and we did have a great time (as always).:sohappy:

We went last year over Thanksgiving and it wasn't bad. The crowds are always expected but I really expected worse than it was. Our longest wait was Jungle Cruise because we couldn't do a fast pass. We were able to do everything we wanted to do. The weather was magnificent! It is definitely more crowded in the summer and the heat is unbearable then. We are going back over Thanksgiving this year as well and we are bringing my dad and my brother too!

We just decided to go as well. I am concerned with crowds because I will be bringing my 16 month old on her first trip to WDW - so maybe being forced to go at a slower pace will be better.

I, too am concerned about the crowds, but it is what it is. I'd rather wait in line for a ride at Disney then wait in a checkout line for Black Friday!!

No! It is a great time to go!! My DH and I went this past Thanksgiving - got in Tuesday night at the resort late so we were ready to hit the parks first thing Wednesday - hit the MK and zipped through! The crowd level was really high. As the weekend went on - it got more and more busy - but we rode everything we wanted - some times 3 4 5 times! All but Peter Pan - crazy crazy crazy long lines all 5 days!! But it is a great time to go! The only thing we noticed - the MVMCP was either Tues night - when we checked in late or Sunday night - no other dates which I thought was odd being that Thanksgiving is the kick off - at least for shopping and marketing - of Christmas. Great time to go!!
