Just wondering if someone could tell me what the Magic Kingdom crowd is like the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving is like?

I've been at Thanksgiving twice in the last few years. The day before Thanksgiving has been a great experience at Magic Kingdom both times. Thanksgiving day, Friday, and Saturday are all very busy; however, they don't compare to Spring Break/Easter! It was like a busy summer day.

Thanks. I was hoping that MK crowds would be slowing down Saturday thinking that family's would be traveling back home that day.

I am also heading to the World over Thanksgiving week and have been worrying about crowd levels. I have been many times during the Spring Break/Easter period, so am relieved to hear crowds don't compare!

I currently have Busch Gardens down on Thanksgiving day - my thinking is people will want to travel to Disney with ther extra vacation time. Blizzard Beach on the Friday and Animal Kingdom on the Saturday

Any advice appreciated!

Have been there many time for Thanksgiving week and the week after. If used to be calm for the few days leading up to Thanksgiving and then by Thanksgiving day it was insane. Now the entire week is quite busy.

I cannot compare to Easter, Christmas or other holidays since I have not personally been to WDW during those times. However having counter service lines out the doors with CM's directing traffic, all the rides extended queue's being used, Main Street bypass open most of the day. I would consider the Thanksgiving holiday to be insane. I considered those few days of our vacation days for people watching and visiting the resorts to see their Christmas decorations. Most rides and shows at the parks had wait times way longer than we would wait. At the MK we would go to a couple of attractions and leave like COP to see full theaters, the people mover with 30 lines swirling through Tomorrowland, Swiss Family Treehouse with extended queue and Tiki Room with full theaters. I thought it was amazing to see that many people in one place. Now we have not done the Thanksgiving week in 6 years, but back then it was crazy. We will most likely never go back again during that week. I simply do not enjoy spending all that money on a trip where most of it is spent waiting to do a few rides at best.

Another crazy couple of days are the following weekend when the Christmas Day Parade is filmed. Very very busy weekend.

We've been two years in a row at Thanksgiving now, and while it's not pretty, the parks are doable. Granted, we usually hit whichever park early in the morning, and we're usually out of there by early afternoon. We just planned our trips so that Thanksgiving Day and the one after were half-days, with the other half either spent at a Thanksgiving meal or as some down time at our resort.

One other thing to consider is that there's a large soccer tournament at WWoS that week as well....

Dont forget about all the locals that are visiting with their family visitors who want to do Disney as part of their weekend. Get in early... attack the park before everyone else arrives.
