Thanksgiving Trip Report ~2005~

We were there on our forth trip this past Thanksgiving week. We had such a great time! We stayed at the Poly. Resort. That was our first time at a Deluxe Resort. (Usually we stay at Caribbean Beach). The cast members there were very friendly. The first day we went to Magic Kingdom. (It was open from 9am until 2am (with the extra magic hours). This was the 23rd. The crowds were actually not that bad. We knew just what to do by which rides to go on first and we used fastpass to our fullest and got to do everything we wanted to. We went on Jungle Cruise 3 times and the skippers were all very funny. It was interesting to see how they had to stick to guide lines, but they could vary the words a little bit. (Oh, by the way, we stayed a half day at the MK on the 22nd and a half day there on the 26th.) On the 22nd, the Haunted Mansion was static at the end in the graveyard scene, but then when we went the other 4+ times the other days, it was fine. Also, some very good cast members running the HM! Also, the HM looks very good at night. On Splash Mountian, the fountains the go over the boat in the scene right before the big drop only worked on the 26th, not the 22nd or 23rd. Main Street was alive with "residents" that were very funny and brightened the place up. The big tree is still next to the castle (by tomorrowland) and not in the town square. The train station looks like it's coming along. Wishes was great (as always). And I like how the castle looks with the gold trim. I'll tell you more about Thanksgiving Day at Epcot tomorrow and finish up telling you about the 25th on Tuesday!

Ok. Now for Epcot. This was Thanksgiving Day. I knew that Soarin' would be crowded, so we went over there first and it was PACKED at the fastpass stands. The wait was only 50min at the time, so we decided to just wait in the line for the ride instead of the line for the fastpass. The T.V.s that desplay the Earth trivia really passed the time in the line. The ride was great and I'm glad they brought it to Epcot!:sohappy: After the ride, we got fastpass for it between about 3 and 4. (The line for the fastpass was gone). Then we went to the Living Seas. It looked pretty nice in there. The line for Turtle Talk was really long. Then we went to Norway and Mexico to ride the boat rides which were nice. We had Thanksgiving Lunch reserved at Le Cellier and the food was great and all of the Canadians were very nice! I'll skip to later in the day...

... we got fish and chips before Illuminations. Then we went to stand on a bridge by France to watch. It was great! But since the big inferno barge was not there, it seemed like it was lacking something. It was extra magic hours for Epcot that day, so we stayed in the World Showcase while the crowds let up. They played the old parade music and "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand" which was nice to hear and I didn't know they played that anymore.

And that was our Thanksgiving day at Epcot. Oh... before I forget, Club Cool was neat! It looks very good now, but the floors were stickey!:p

Stay tuned for the last part of my trip report of MGM and AK tomorrow!
Bye for now.

The last full day of our trip was on the 25th. We went to AK in the morning and MGM in the afternoon. Animal Kingdom had all of it's Christmas stuff up.Dinosaur was fun, like always! Our driver for Kilimanjaro Safaris was very good. Everest looks AMAZING!!! but.. no one was working on it that I could see and this was a Friday. Tarzan Rocks was going on at the time we went to look at E:E and you could hear it all the way over there. I hope they do something about that because I wouldn't wast to hear Tarzan music while riding E:E! All in all, AK was very good!We got to MGM around 4pm. and I didn't know that Lights, Motors, Action! only played 3 times a day, and it was already to late to get to the last show. So it's now something to look forward to for us next year. Rockin Roller Coaster was good, but I always get a headache when you co on the corkscrews. It went away in about a half hour after I rode it which was good. This was the 2nd time I saw the Specticle of Lights and it was even better this year! We decided to skip Fantasmic this year. And that's the end of my Thanksgiving ~2005~ Trip Report! Thanks to everyone on this website who gave me tips for my trip!and Happy Thanksgiving!
