I'm going to be in WDW for this upcoming Thanksgiving, and I was wondering if any of you have been there for Thanksgiving before. Even if you haven't can you give any tips as to where a good place to eat on Thanksgiving. We were planning on the Liberty Tree Tavern. what do you think?

Any sit-down restaurant is fine, they will all have special thanksgiving meals to choose from. Heads up: Thanksgiving and the two days after are some of the most crowded days at the parks, so make sure you book your reservations well in advance. They open up reservations 180 days before your arrival. Mark it on your calendar and make your reservations as soon as you can.

The family had dinner at CP, they said it was great, characters and all, I had to miss it though. But they have all the Xmas deco's up and it really is great, with all the music playing and all you'll have a wonderful time.

We ate our Thanksgiving dinner at the CP in 2005. The food was great and it was very unique.

The parks get crowded the day before Thanksgiving and through the end of the weekend. However, if you get there to experience the week leading up to the holiday, you'll get to do each park with nearly no crowds at all. We rode everything with waits under 20 minutes. We actually rode Dinosaur 3 consecutive times before leaving, even though there was still NO WAIT at noon-ish.

My family and I are also going the week of Thanksgiving. I posted a question about dining for Thanksgiving on the dining thread and someone posted this link which has menus from Thanksgiving 2005 which might help you decide.

Also when I made my trip reservations it was strongly suggested that I make Thanksgiving reservations 180 days before my trip.

My family has been to Disney for Thanksgiving a number of times. We usually stay at the Fort Wilderness Homes and cook our own dinner. We have also done Thanksgiving at Trail's End, but I don't remember it being anything special.

Thanksgiving is wonderful in the parks...all the Christmas decorations were up.

As for dining. We went to the Liberty Tree Tavern..it was great! Good food, all you care to eat and characters!

But it books quick...try to get it as soon as you are able.

That is, if you want to eat there.
