I just want to say thanks for all those trying to cheer me up. It's very sweet of you. I know you mean well, it's just gonna be a while before I can smile again. I know some people think it's silly to feel so bad cause of a sports loss, but it meant so much more than that. It feels like I'm walking around without a heart right now. You can only take so much disappointment. Thanks for all those who are trying to console me but it's gonna take some time.

Vince,

Remember this:

  • The Buffalo Bills lost 4 Super Bowls
  • The Denver Broncos lost 4 Super Bowls but won 2 in a row
  • Cubs fans know a little about disappoinment
  • Red Sox fans know it worse!

There are sports fans who've had heart breaks too.....some of us for waaaayyyyy too long.

And if worse comes to worse, picture Gary in his jock strap.

On second thought................

Vince, its OK to feel down (thats how I felt at the end of the baseball season). Its going to take some time, but it will pass.

**Huggles Vince**

I sympathize with you, brother. Non-sports fans have no concept on how much a loss like this hurts when it happens to your favorite team.

I am not saying that this is in any way like losing a loved one, but it would rival the loss of a pet, maybe a small one, like a hamster or something.

Here's hoping the team doesn't get dismantled.

Well now, if there's money in it, I'm sure I could make myself available for parties, Bar Mitzvahs, etc.

There are 3 different types of sports fans.

1. "Hey, my state's or city's team is in the playoffs...let's buy all kinds of clothing with their logo on it so we fit in and it'll give us a reason to party" fans. (Not true fans)

2. Fans that have followed the team off and on through the season, wish they could follow more...but things in their lives won't permit them too. (true fans)

3. Fans that never miss a game...eat, sleep, and breathe their team...Doesn't matter if it's -65 degrees outside and a blizzard...they'll make that game. They go the distance to show their love, they go the distance to provide the support the team needs. (Diehard Fans)

Vince...I can honestly say...is one of those fans. If there is a diehard fan that any team would like on their side...it would be him.

I like to think that I'm a fan like that. Granted, when it comes to the baseball season...I'm more of a #2 guy because there are just so many games in the season...but I try to watch as much as possible.

Vince, I feel your pain..I've been there. I'll be there again...but we'll always stick behind our team. No matter what.

Hmmm.. I'll take the Red Wings. Can I return the other two? No, I'll keep the Lions too, they show promise. Thanks. :)

Bri, you're right. It hurts now but I'm still gonna be with them. It actually started tonight. I got into an argument with some fans. They were trashing McNabb and stuff. Made me mad, the one guy you do not blame is McNabb. So I rose up to defend him and some of the other Eagles. Though I did blame the receivers... please give us T.O this offseason. I'm starting to feel better now. I still do believe in this team, we just need some improvements. I cracked a smile today when someone said "Always a bridesmaid and never a bride" in reference to the Eagles. Oh, someday, we'll find Mr. Right. :)
