You guys are the best! Thanks for sending the prayers and postive thoughts out for my dad! To sum up - he's been dying of liver failure and on the donor list in MA. 2 months ago, he hit "End Stage liver Failure". He's 44 and has another daughter who will be 2 in November. He moved to FL because they have a quicker donor list. He's been there for over a month now and... He's in surgery as I'm typing this getting his new liver! If it doesn't reject, we're going to get him, my little sis, and her mom to Disneyworld with us for 1 day in December. We want to make the trip extra special!

We're going to buy 2, top of the line annual passes. What kind of discounts can we expect on rooms (we'll need 3), and other season Christmas time events? We're looking at going the 1st week after Thanksgiving (our anniversary is on 12/1). Is there another dessert party in the works for that week? We'd love to bring our crew along! :wave:

Sorry I can't really help with the pass question - I just wanted to say that I am glad that you have some positive news, and I hope it all turns out OK for you and the family.

As for the AP - the Premium pass is about $515 and the Regular Pass (no water parks, PI, DQ or WWoS) is $395

The hotel discounts can be up to 40% but are usually in the 25-30% range...

You only need one AP per room to book the discount - so as long as three of you are getting the AP's you can put their names on the res to enjoy the discount!

You can also get the Disney Dining Card for $50 which gives you 20% off nearly every restaurant in WDW (for you and your whole party)

I don't know if an official meet is planned, but there are usually several forum members at WDW that week. You might be able to have a more informal get together.

We really only budgeted for 2 passes. 2 of us will be staying 7 or 8 days and the rest (4) will be staying for 5 days. Is the discount about the same on Wilderness cabins? We could share 1 for the days there will be 6 of us (all adults - my father would only be down for a day trip probably) and then "upgrade" to a moderate/deluxe hotel when it's just the 2 of us (DH and I celebrating our 4th anniversary).
