My family was in the line on fire of the severe weather that impacted Ohio and other states. My house suffered no damage but others were not so lucky. Some people I work with have not had power from June 29th - July 7th. Mine was off from Friday to Wednesday.
I would like to thank all the AEP employees that came from other states to help with power restoration. They have been working long days in 95F-100F everyday with no stop for the holiday. Every day when I go to work I pass convoys of AEP and other electrical trucks from as far away as Vivian and Shreveport, LA also Joplin MO. I have to admit that I get a lump in my throat and my faith in human spirit is restored. I know that they are being compensated financially but I like to think is more that just that.
