True, and I can see that, although I'd still bring one of those prepaid cell phones that you buy and use until you're out of minutes thing for vacation, and then not give the number to work. The unfortunate part of technology is that life can get in touch with you on vacation; I still have to check school emails and we bring a laptop so my dad can check work stuff.

True enough. Buy heck I remember when having a pager was cutting edge! I grew up when pay phones were the norm, now those were the days.

Hmmm...I think I remember my dad reading one of those, but now it's on the iPad...

And back in the day they actually reported the news instead of embellishing, dramatizing, or opinionized it to fit an agenda.

Back in 1995 my "boss" told me to take my pager to WDW over my vacation in case he wanted to talk to me.

Reliable news sources with properly-trained journalists won't do that. Unfortunately most news sources aren't reliable and journalists are not properly-trained.
