lol i dont even remember what it was, what was the "eyeball effect?"
The "eyeball" effect was similar to the current effect present in the 5th dimension. The only difference was the picture in the eyeball was of you and your fellow ridemates instead of a publicity photo. I LOVED this little effect and was incredibly angry to see it go. When things break? Why doesn't Disney fix them anymore? :veryconfu

Am I Hallucinating?

I think I remember back four years ago when TT first opened, during the crash scene, just as you got to the wall that opens, they flashed really bright lights in your eyes so you didn't actually see the wall parting. Then, when your eyes recovered, you were outside. Am I hallucinating? Does anyone else remember that? I know that they are taking the picture then, but I mean a REALLY bright light.

your completley right actually, and yeah it really added to the overall "wow effect" -that scene was just so fantastic, and in my opinion its just such a loss not having all of the effects working:(

In a way, the crash scene does continue to work, but not up to its full potential. Right after you see the truck come towards you, you go through a garage and make a right turn. before you make that right turn, there is a "crashing noise" that happens to make the guests believe that the crash car actually crashed. now...is it the same as the actual crash test with the car, no.

No, they can't get the crash car effect to work again with the current way it's programmed

Now that 4 cars are loaded, there are to many car's on the track at one time to keep the pace moving fast enough as you get to the crash scene. Let me rephrase. In order to keep the spaceing on the high speed loops right, they have to pause each car, and sometimes 2 car's at the crash test scene.

The crash test car can't "recycle" itself fast enough, so you'd end up with people sitting there waiting for the outside loop to clear, and all they would see is the car "Resetting" itself back to it's starting point. That would REALLY look bad.

I have never seen them load 4 cars at once... the wait is always so long for Test Track... so it's about time they started using the 4 loading areas. I hope it helps speed things up!

Is the truck scene still in??? I like that part where every1 gets scared. What is the differance between the crash scene and the truck scene? I think its that the crash scene was right before you go outside you see a car crash so you think your gonna crash as well. Am i right?

Yes, the truck scene is still in. Has not been touched. If you look closely inside the truck, you will see Franklin Delano Roosevelt with a lai on. The difference between the two is, during the truck scene, it feels as if you will crash into the truck. In the crash scene, you actually see (but not anymore) te car actually crash, before you (the guest) actually gets a practice crash shot. Yes, to your final question, you are right.

I can see it now.....just like the car crash being shut down in Test Track, after Mission Space is open for a couple of years they'll probably shut down the spinning of the centrifuges and we'll all just be sitting there watching a video....I hope this doesnt happen cause it greatly takes away from the ride. I miss the car crashing scene and everytime I ride TT now, I get upset at the fact that it is gone.

I've always remembered the lights shining bright and yes, they are taking your picture here (so pose for the best and sometimes "GOOFY-est" picture). But, the light isn't that bright to the point where they blind you unless you're directly looking into the light.

You may want to put on a pair of these --> <--- the next time you go on ;)

The light used to be bright, to temporarily blind you while the wall parted. Now it's just a picture flash, nothing like the early days. Someone must have complained!
