Tent Camping at Fort Wilderness

Just recently, our family has grown to love camping. I was wondering if anyone has camped in a tent at Fort Wilderness, and if so, any suggestions or thoughts that you could share.

We purchased the Disney Sing Along Video, "Campout at Walt Disney World" for our two year old, and watching that only made me more more inquisitive.

I found this topic and was glad I did. I went camping a few times when I was a kid but havent since and now my wife who has never gone is driving me crazy about going.
My question is are the camp sites pretty secluded so someone who hasn't gone camping in some time can fumble with his tent with out a hundred people watching?

Also, how is camping in late September early December? I know it's kinda cold, for Florida, but we are thinking about doing it for the Christmas season.

From what I recall of the few times I have been in Ft Wilderness, there is not much seclusion. However, if you show up while everyone is at the parks, you would have a little privacy.

I just got back from Ft Wilderness and I have to say That while the grounds are nice and the resort is well themed... I would never camp at walt Disney World again. Transportation is sort of an issue here. Sometimes it took us an hour and a half to get back home after the park closed.... The last thing I want to do when im all worn out is to wait for a bus to pick me up and drop me off at another bus stop so I have to wait for yet another bus to pick me up at this bus stop and take me to my tent. It took forever! Plus a bed and a hot shower just steps away feels SO good after a long day at the park. Take it from me... use a few extra bucks and stay at Pop Century... Its much more relaxing. Or if your dieing to stay at ft. wilderness try a cabin and drive to the parks.
