Temporary Lego Store at Downtown Disney

During the upcoming renovation project of Lego Imagination Center, the store will operate out of a temporary location at Downtown Disney Marketplace between Once Upon A Toy and Earl of Sandwich. Installation of the temporary site has begun, and plans are under way to transition the retail operation to this location starting Jan. 24.

The extensive renovations will increase the store's overall footprint by nearly 3,500 square feet and add new Lego exterior models of favorite Disney characters.

I use to love going to the Lego store but the last few years you can't even move around in it. Hopefully the bigger size will make it easier to walk around.

Last Tuesday was the first time I went to DTD in the morning. (10:00 AM or so)

I went into the Lego store and was amazed - I could see from one side to the other.

When I normaly go to DTD it is always packed to the gills.

Finally!

I went to the lego store last week, and it was looking a tad bit run down. I'm so glad to hear that they are renovating it.

I was really disappointed by it. It's one of those places that is better outside than in. I hope the renovations improve it, the potential is huge and the models outside are amazing.

I think the OP pretty much summed up all that we know right now!

The temporary tent is up and I've heard it's quite yellow in there!

Maybe someone else can chime in with more info!?!
