I can't fathom why TDO didn't fight for some money for AK, especially with the state of Everest and the parks lack of attractions.

That is baffling. Thanks for giving us the insight on the 300 Million Dollar price tag for FLE through 2014. Mermaid had better be great, and we'll know when it opens next May in California Adventure!

The only reason WDW is falling behind is because of the executives(TDO) not caring about the parks. The only time youll even see them make a slight attempt nowadays is when the attendance falls.

They don't need to do anything because their parks are some of the most visited in the world. To them, why do something great when millions of people are visiting?

Look at Sonic the Hedgehog. Most Sonic Fanboys are just mindless drones that love Sonic so much they will just buy any of his games no matter how crappy they are now. Because of this, Sega/Sonic Team don't need to make a Jet Set Radio or a new Ristar. They'll easily get money by making one bad Sonic game.

Wow. That's a heck of an analogy!

that's what kills me. Knowing that basically, TDO is sitting back just watching the money roll in. Disneyland was the FIRST and only completely-built-by-Walt-himself-park. It should be amazing. But Walt Disney World was the future. Something meant to be bigger and more amazing than Disneyland. Now I know there's currently 5 resorts around the world, but WDW is the BIGGEST, with the most parks and resorts, and has been known as THE resort on the cutting edge....world reknown. It's still amazing, don't get me wrong, but lacking in attractions in comparison to their counterparts around the globe. (except for Walt Disney Studios Paris)

That all is changing. More and more talk about how great Tokyo Disney Resort is, how much more beautiful the Paris Disneyland is, how much better the original DIsneyland is over the MK, and now how Califorina Adventure is being big time invested in....yes we're getting Fantasyland expansion with ONE ride. And Star Tours II, but Little Mermaid is ALSO going in California, and will more than likely find it's way to the other resorts in following years...same with Star Tours.

Aside from Expedition Everest, when's the last time Disney built a truly unique, only available in Florida, state of the art, blow them away attraction?
Mission Space? We built TOT and it was state of the art and unique to us for years until it was cloned in nearly every other resort.

The only major attractions that are in Disney World that don't have a comparable attraction at another Disney park are Mission: Space and Kilimanjaro Safaris.
