Telling the kids.....

Hope this is in the right forum...?

Have been stalking WDW Magic since early 2014 ahead of our first family trip from the UK to WDW but as DH and I are about to surprise our kids tomorrow with news of a second and completely unexpected trip in Oct/Nov 2017 I thought it probably time to say hi!

DH and I first visited with our respected families in the late 80s and so to go with them again as grandparents in 2014 on a once in a lifetime family trip was incredible!

But somehow 3 years down the line and with much secrecy we have booked again.

Am SO excited as know kids will go nuts! None of us ever thought we would go again. Have been reading all your threads on how to surprise the kids and so today went an got a mickey and Minnie balloon that will burst out of the box with their old magic bands and 'We're going to Disney again' note attached.

Must try and get some sleep.........

Have a great time springing the surprise on them. I miss those days when our DS was young and we would have "good news" to tell him. After a few times, he could tell by the expressions on our faces what was coming and he could guess what we were about to tell him.
We have friends who know when I say... Guess what? They can tell immediately what follows by my I'm going to Disney smile.

So, we did our big surprise yesterday. See photo. And kids had no idea!

They opened a massive box, balloon floated out and they couldn't quite believe what they were seeing! They were so excited afterwards and went to bed very late but very happy. Just as well it's half term here this week.

Their grandparents were with us too as they are coming on our trip again and so it was great to finally share our news.

The planning has already begun!

So fun!! We surprised our girls once with a family trip to WDW (cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles). While we were at my sister-in-laws house their cousins made a scavenger hunt for them (eveyone knew but my girls) so they had to find letters that spelled 'Disney World'. They were so excited. My oldest even cried.

I hope your trip is magical!
