ok here are some more stories about the many times i have been stuck on rides

i have been on space mountain at disneyland which is much different then disney world's version and me and my friend had just got off the second chain lift and then we heard the annoucement that the ride had stopped so we sat in the rocket for about 45 minutes and for that time it was a question and answer period and they answered every question. but then we got to the ride witht he lights on it was so awesome.

i also have been stuck on big thunder mountain railroad at disneyland on the last chain lift and we were stopped there for about 15 to 20 minutes that wasnt too bad. and we got another ride out of it

the one ride i hope never to get stuck on is its a small world. no offense to anyone who likes the ride

another bad time i have gotten stuck was i was not allowed to leave epcot because of a really bad thunderstorm the monorails were not running. so i had no choice but to stay in park and hope some of the rides would stay open.

i have more stories also but i will give a little time for people to read what i have wrote so far

We once got stuck on HM for awhile. It freaked my little cousin out and he grabbed my hand and squeezed really hard. We got out and started walking and all of a sudden starts telling me that the ghost bit my hand, I was bleeding out of tiny cuts, he had dig his nails right on thru.

i got quite a few breakdown stories (dont know how interesting they are though):

SSE Multiple times: got stuck quite often on there, but only once or twice it broke down. Once it was right in front of Guteenberg and the printing press. The animatronics broke down and we were there for like 15-20 minutes. The other was on the "descent to earth" going backwards. That was kinda cool though.

Countdown to extinction (back when that was its name): We were at AK about 2 months after it opened, and they obviously hadn't ironed out all the kinks yet. It broke down and we had to evacuate it. Nobody else in my family remembers it, but i remember vividly the place lighting up and having to walk on this wierd walkway.

And as always, the frequent TT breakdowns.

there were some more, but i cant remember them.

My first breakdown was on SSE,most likely caused by the huge thunderstorm outside. It was pretty cool to walk around it.

Another breakdown was a few months ago. I was there with my class and we got stuck on Splash Mountain for about 20 minutes. Ofcoarse it had to happen when we were already late to meet our class. Needless to say our princiapl was super mad when we got back.

And there were a few times on TT but we all had those...

I envy you guys that live close enough to WDW that you get to have your proms there and even get to go there for a class trip! When I was a senior in high school I went to Six Flags with my choir group because we were going to sing there. It was kinda cool because it was Christmas and all the decorations and lights were up all over...I was bored though because I couldn't ride one single thing. I would have rather been in WDW! :)

I was stuck on Splash Mountain for a short time once. It was right at the bottom of the large drop, and as each car came down, it would bump into the back of the car in front of it. It wasn't anything serious, but we did get banged around for about 15-20 mins. It's normal for the logs to queue up a little bit, but this was for quite a long time. Eventually the lineup got bad enough that they shut the entire ride down for a while.

Tower of terror..... stopped at the top right before the first drop!
LET ME TELL YOU.... that should be part of the ride! We had ridden it before so we knew what to expect but we all just waited and waited and no drop! talk about anticipation! eventually the lights went on we were taken down slowly and asked if we wanting to ride again. Then the following year we broke down on test track on the outside stretch were we hung side ways. that was fun not to long but FUN!

The ride breakdowns I had to suffer were in El Rio del Tiempo in the Mexican Pavillion, but I was working there, so not too much fun... the pumps had to be turned off and we had to pull the boats from the last scene -close to that carrousel- and escort people out through backstage to make sure they went back to the promenade. It was stressful for us, but the guests seemed to enjoy it and joke about it while helping us pull the boats to the "shore"... :animwink:

I don´t remember getting stuck inside of a ride... I haven´t been that lucky! :(

Been there, done that...they should have a Tshirt for it

Lets see.. been stuck on the decent to earth on SSE. Its not bad, but you do get a funky feeling in the stomach because your backwards at an angle...and you can see the walkway to get down, but they didnt let us out...and Walter Cronkite just kept talking

Got stuck on Mr Toads a couple of times on the same ride. First time we were right in front of that hypnotizing swirly thing. That should have been an omen  Inside, we got stuck again. Started. Stopped. Started. Stopped. The lights came on and we got to see what it really looked like! They let us out of the cars and we had to walk out.

We also got stuck on the original Universe of Energy back in 1986. We were in the cars, saw the energy movie, and the cars turned. The curtain started going up~~and stopped! It just sat there, half way up. You could see the dinosaur animatronics moving, but we werent  So we evacuated, and they closed the ride. A day or two later, we tried again to get on the ride and the SAME THING HAPPENED! I didnt get on that ride till April of 2000!

I also remember getting stuck on If You Had Wings waaayyy back in 1976~ I was only 12 at the time, and while I dont remember much of it, I DO remember it was in some sort of tunnel with flashing lights and having to listen to that darn "If you had wings, wings had wings wings had wings wings..." over and over and over and over.... :hammer:

i remeber getting stuck on the WDW railroad during a severe thunderstorm. The train was right outside of the hole into splash mountain, right before it. Half of the train wasw actually in it. We almost got evacuated, but after about 20 minutes it started moving again.

But i'd rather be stuck on a broke-down ride that be stuck at home or at school any day.

Well I haven't ever gotten stuck on a ride. 8 trips and never gotten stopped! lol Well we were stopped for a little on HM. Right at the beginning to.
When we were there in April MK was open till midnight. My sis and I decided to go on Space Mountain at like 11:45. So there was basically no line. We got into the loadin dock part and the ride shut down and the lights came on. Well my sister was so demanding to stay we waited and waited and waited. They said it wouldn't take long but about 45 min later they finally got it working. We finally got our ride and left MK at 1. It was great becuase the only people in the park were those who were on Space Mountain w/us! lol Then that night we had the CM on the tram to the parking lot going pluto to the right goofy to the left. OMG I can't go into the parking lot w/o saying that now! But thats another story! lol

I got stuck in Small World for 45 minutes at Disneyland when I was 6 years old.

The song finally got out of my head at about age 18.

I haven't been on that ride since.

Permanently traumatized.

I know it's not really a ride, but I got stuck on the Carousel of Progress two trips ago. The scene displaying the family in the future ran its course and the stage was supposed to revolve back to the begining again. Instead, nothing happened for a while and the animatronics of the futuristic family began to repeat their part of the show again. Cast Members finally came and escorted us out.

Also, I've been stopped on Test Track (right at the end of the ride), haunted mansion, and Splash Mountain. However, each time it was only for a couple minutes. Nothing too serious.

Finally, when I last went in early July, I was on the Tower of Terror and the elevator stopped for like 15 seconds as it was rising to reach the floor where the vehicles move horizontally. Is this part of the new Tower of Terror 4 or was it just a glitch? Just wondering...

I only have a couple breakdown stories that really count. The rest are rather minor.

The first was on Splash Mountain. I was stuck under the AC duct blowing cold air after being soaked in Dec. on a not so warm day. We were there for at least 40 minutes. I don't even know why we were stuck to this day. I was so cold when we got off I had to stick myself under a hand dryer for like 20 min

:)

The second was pretty uncomfortable. We were stuck on the outside loop on Test Track for maybe 4-5 minutes. It was pretty uncomfortable sitting sideways that whole time. At least they made up for it by letting us experiencing the ride without getting off and without any interruptions that time.

Nope, that's not part of Tower 4. Sounds like it was either a glitch or it stopped for a moment to let the vehicle ahead of it move further along.

Got stuck on POTC once. The ride stopped so they eventually turned the lights on and all of the maintenance guys were walking around. Got a good picture of them, and also one of me and my girlfriend in the boat. Then after a while longer they escorted us out the back exit (behind some of the set scenery), so we had to walk around the back side of the building .. there was definitely no filming allowed back there!

Hows POTC look with the lights on? I always wondered about that!
