I love the place!!
Got engaged there, spent our honeymoon there, spend every night of every trip there.......

It does have a set script and scripted sketches/shows but the cast ad lib and go off script a fair bit which sooooo funny.
Only 200 days until my next Hoopla!

Oh and try the cocktails, they are amazing!

I've yet to go because I have no interest in spending time there by myself. If you guys ever go through with the AC meet-up that was discussed in the SSE thread I'd be interested in trying to attend it.

We should be making a post about it in the next day or so. Tenativly it will be on Saturday March 29th. We will start the evening out with dinner at Earl of Sandwich around 5:30 and we will head over to AC for the 7:00 PM opening. If there is a special event that night we will start out at CW and then make our way over to AC.

Here's hoping that I have to work at that time so I end up missing this meet just like the SSE one. :hammer:

Well, the great thing about the AC is that you CAN have fun there by yourself. I predominantly went by myself and had fun with strangers.

"If you come in here a stranger, you'll exit as a friend."

Only 64 days left till I return, and 74 days till I can have my first Kungaloosh (turn 21)!!!! I can think of no greater place to turn 21 than the Adventurers Club. I'd love if we could have meet then as well.

Don't forget to explore every nook and cranny, as well as opening drawers and cabinets... You never know what you might find...

Oh, and pay attention to what's going around you if you are sitting at the bar, or you may find yourself sinking to new lows, mwuhahaha:animwink:....

I particularly enjoyed just walking around and reading Hodges' captions on photos and artifacts (especially photos of Hathaway's "landings").

Also, most people just walk past the case between the bathrooms when leaving the library, but there's some good stuff there.

I would love, absolutely LOVE to go backstage and explore all of the rooms and tunnels.

I could spend days in there doing just that. I am surprised Disney has yet to do a behind the scenes tour of AC yet.

That was even before my time. I do have some blurry memories of doing shots of sambuca that were poured down a huge block of ice back in 98 I think.

Ah... memories. And now we're stuck with overpriced drinks, baby strollers, no more monkey nuts, dogs who ______ and over-obsessive fans who dont shower.

Not always. I know that the first few times I went there I was there with absolutely no knowledge of the place and I really did not have that great of a time. I felt very much like an outsider. The third time I went was with a bunch of regulars that filled me in on the ins and outs of the AC and I was hooked from that moment on.

pffft

BTW....when are you back in town?

I saw you there a lot :)
