Tell me about Swan and Dolphin

So, if I don't keep frittering my Christmas bonus away, I might have an opportunity to piece together the funds for a trip this year.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me about Swan and Dolphin and specifically, since these are not actually Disney resorts, what is not included that is included at other resorts. Magic hours? Bus service? Other stuff? Sorry but never stayed here before and am a bit clueless.

I also hear there is a pretty high daily resort fee for these. Does anyone know what it is? Not finding it in the Swan Dolphin website but maybe I'm blind.

Any advice would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Nice resort, I just thought the rooms were a bit outdated, I prefer dolphin over swan

In my opinion, the Swan and Dolphin is the best hotel on property. Big, beautiful hotels, great rooms, phenomenal lobbies, wonderful pools, and some of the best dining options you can find anywhere in Disney World. As for the pricing, you can stay in a premium studio or a suite for less than you can in a standard room at places like the YC/BC or Boardwalk. I really can't understand why people pay so much more for so much less at some of these other places.

We were so busy having fun on our recent visit (beginning of February) that I forgot to ask to see a "reimagined" room at the Dolphin. I could have requested one but forgot all about it because we were given a room with a great view and I've stayed at the Dolphin often enough that the rooms are familiar to me and I think they're just fine. Will wait until next year to see the updates!
