Hi please can you help

I am staying at the Yacht club and my Sister in law is staying at the Dolphin. Is it free to phone between our resorts or if not have you any information on how much it costs?

Thanks in advance

You don't have cell phones?

I would presume that it would not be free since the Swan & Dolphin are Westin resorts, not Disney.

Hi

I am indeed from another country, a little island in the irish sea between england and ireland! So although we do get international cell phone coverage it is mega expensive to use your phone abroad

From Allearsnet.com:

Your hotel phone works this way:

Every call will cost you at least 75

Calling local, dial a 9 first

Calling long distance, dial an 8 first (and yes, Kissimmee is long distance, sorry, we didn't draw the line)

Calling an 800 number, dial 8 first, then the 1-800 and the rest from there (and yes, this costs 75, too)

To dial from your computer, local access, dial 9 then comma, comma then the number... long distance access, dial 8 then comma, comma then the number (pick Orlando numbers, not Kissimmee ones for your access numbers).
Collect? Dial 8, then 0, then the area code and number you are dialing
Calling card with 800 number? See above.
Calling card with no 800 number? 8, then 0, then area code and number you are dialing, operator will assist.
Blinking red light? There is a button on your phone that has a picture of an envelope... press that and you will get your voice mail.
Other mail? Did it say you have "other mail'? We at the switchboard will retrieve the mail from a different system and read it to you. Please be patient while we look for it.
Let us dial Mears, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Centra Care, a taxi, another Hotel on property, and anything Disney for you... save yourself that 75 (can you tell that people ask about the phones more than any other thing?!)

You can call between Disney resorts by just pressing zero. So you could see if they can connect you to the Dolphin that way. If not, then it is only 75 cents.

If I remember correctly as I was staying at the Swan and Dolphin last year, calls to local numbers and 800 are free as they are included in the $10 a day resort fee.

I know when we were staying at the Poly and called by brother at POP the call was free, but I am not sure whether the swan and dolphin are included since they are not WDW resorts

To Confirm...

As of January 1, 2007, Disney's Resort Hotels have eliminated surcharge fees for local, 1-800, collect, credit card and third party calls placed from an in-room Disney Resort Guest telephone.

Charges for directory assistance as well as domestic and international long-distance calls will not change and a fee will apply.

At the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, local calls are included in your resort service fee.
