One major complaint I've had is that despite Tren-D's success, there is no store similar for guys. Well, that has finally changed...sorta. Team Mickey, the store next door to Tren-D now offers a new section of urban clothes for guys. It's better than nothing, but still not the entire store we were hoping for. Here are pics of the new section, which opened yesterday:

Here's one of the new fixtures in the new section

As you can see, they're trying to replicate a similar look as Tren-D for this section

You know this section is meant for guys because there are lots of shot glasses around

See the urban theme here?

Here's a whole fixture devoted to Marvel keychains. They also have a small selection of Marvel shirts.

One last new fixture.

It is also the first time in Florida that Block 28 merchandise has been available. It is an urban line made by Disney that was exclusively sold at Vault 28 at Disneyland until now.

What do you all think?

Boo! Just add a new store over there on the west side. Don't add non-sports stuff to Team Mickey, that just ruins the effect for me.

That's my feeling too, but I have to admit it does add something new to that store, which has been in dire need of something for a while...

Oh well, I guess it's a catch 22...

It's okay...But l'd rather seen this at the Mickey Store adjacent to the AMC on the west side.

You mean Mickey's Groove? I thought that was suppose to happen, but then they announced D-Street, which was also suppose to have this as well as Vinylmation, but that didn't really happen either... Oh well...

Thanks for posting the pics and info THRILL!

WOOHOO! New shirts for me this trip!

In a way, though... (donning asbestos suit) ...nothing says "urban and cool" less to me than having Mickey Mouse all over the shirts!

They need some new designs, but it's still cool that it is finally moving in that direction!

If I remember correctly, Disney doesn't sell shot glasses...those ARE some snappy "toothpick holders" though:ROFLOL:

Thanks for the great photos. I can't wait to see them when I down there

When I sold them I made jokes about how you can take nice shots of chocolate milk with those...

Do they sell a t-shirt of Oswald driving a motorcycle? because I saw someone in a club wearing it the other day and when I asked him about it he had no idea who Oswald was.

More homogenization of merchandizing

It's the same nonsense that's been going on in the parks for a while. There's really very little sense that any given store has a specific theme or purpose at this point. Cell phone cases in Team Mickey's? Seriously?
