Anybody here ever moved into the area to teach just to be close to WDW? House pricing in Celebration are very close to whereI live and if an Agriculture teaching position ever opened up I would be very tempted!

Hi! As you probably know, teaching posts are by county, not district, and you must have FLA teaching certs. Teachers I know had no choice about the school they were assigned to. Also, Celebration schools are public schools open to all students, not exclusively Celebration kids, I believe. Celebration has many rentals now as well as homes for purchase. But if you buy, be sure to check out the taxes (very high for the area) & HOA (high) & Celebration fees (additional). There are so many communities available now to those wanting to relocate to the Disney area. And Celebration is always there to visit for a nice dinner or stroll. Hope this helps.

I live on the border of Polk and Osceola - just moved here about a month ago. Everything in the area is HOA. My wife and I rent. I can't speak to the teaching aspect, but the area is decent. The closer you get to Davenport/Kissimee the nicer it gets. Just start looking early in the year. THe closer to the end of summer you get, the more homes get taken because of people who spend their winters in FLorida.
