Hey everyone, tonight is the night of the next Turner Classic Movies (TCM) channel night of "Treasures From the Disney Vault," beginning at 8:00 p.m. EDT and running all night. [If you cannot watch it on TV but you have a cable or satellite subscription, you may register to watch it streaming on www.TCM.com.]
It includes some Disney classics appropriate for Halloween and some that I wanted younger folks here to be aware of. The TCM page with a link to the full schedule is here: http://www.tcm.com/disney/
Things of note to newer or younger Disney fans (too young to remember these being shown on The Disney Channel):
Mods, I understand that this may belong in the movies/TV section of the forum, but these are important enough that I want get the best traction. I want younger fans to find it while they can. I ask that you wait until at least tomorrow to move this from the News and Rumors thread if you must. Thank you.

Things of note to newer or younger Disney fans (too young to remember these being shown on The Disney Channel):
- "The Plausible Impossible" is a classic episode of Disney's "Wonderful World of Color" show where Walt himself explains how animation and film allow us to explore things that are otherwise impossible. I believe it gives us some insight into Walt's curiosity and how it drives what he does in his life and career. A true gem for future imagineers and fans of Walt, and probably the first time in HD.
- "The Big Bad Wolf" and "The Three Little Pigs" are true cartoon classics that were phenomenal hits of their day and were among the first Disney movies to have familiar soundtracks and to define the story for generations.
- "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" is two stories in one, both "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" (with its Headless Horseman) and "The Wind in the Willows," from which the famous now-defunct ride, "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride," was taken. The narrators are famous, too: Bing Crosby (of "White Christmas" fame) for "Sleepy Hollow" and Basil Rathbone (famous for nearly every classic horror film in the world) for "Mr. Toad."
- The other two shorts, "Lonesome Ghosts" and "The Old Mill" are also worth a look, the first for fun with Mickey and the gang in their prime, the second for classic artistry.
