Taxi's

I can never understand why people give those dirty looks. It doesn't bother me one bit if some one in a wheel chair or has a special need to board before anyone else. Like AEfx said, it really makes me feel good to see a company take such a nactive role in continuing the magic for those who can't easily get around.

As for the bus vs. taxi, I would really go with the bus. It's free, but it will also be hassle free. As others have said Disney insists on this, and that is soooo cool!:animwink:

I understand why people give dirty looks when a disabled person is able to skip the line...it's because some people are miserable, complaining, nasty jerkies who live their lives that way...coming to the MK only exsacerbates their "condition". I applaud Disney for allowing the disabled entry first. Its a price I am honored to pay...It's nice to see all types of people at Disney. :)

we took a cab from the Beach Club to the All Star Movies and it was around $13 + tip. It was pouring rain, at the end of the day and we wouldve had to go to the main gate of Epcot to get to a bus that would take us there.. we were all tired and the $13 for the 5 of us to get back to our hotel was worth it for that particular time.

I'd say renting a car just might be a better idea for you if you dont want the hassle with the busses.

The taxi rates are $2.20 for the first 1/4 mile and then $.55 for each additional 1/4 mile ($2.20 a mile). As a general rule you can multiply your distance by about $2.50 and get a rough conservative estimate. Also below is a link to the Mears taxi fare estimator, if you know where you'll be traveling you can look these up before you go and have the information in hand when you get there.
