TAXI! @ World Showcase

OK people I need your help here.

My attraction is called 'TAXI!' and is to be a whimsical ride through London where guests ride in open-topped London Taxis.
The rise would be situated in the United Kingdom area of Epcot where there is no attraction. I don't usually spend much time in this area for this reason.
The ride would be in a similar layout to those Fantasyland attractions (Simple queue area, attraction behind) so would be fairly cost effective. Higlights include: Bursting into B__________gham Palace, crossing the Thames, hearing Big Ben sound.

Anyway if you're interested I've posted my designs on my Gallery
just search for 'TAXI'.
Very exciting idea, so please reply peeps.

Seeker out.

Could work out great - there is enough room for a dark ride there (the UK pavillion was originally going to have an indoor theatre show on the west side of the square).

Picadilly Circus at night (lots of traffic and neon signs), drive cross the River Thames on Tower Bridge, skid round the palace...

A ride system like DLCs Roger Rabbit springs to mind here..?

Maybe Rodger Rabbit goes to london. Bring the DLR ride over, change the name, so visuals. And there you go. It might work, it might not. But the idea is a great one. Many ways to tweak it so it flows.

Yeah sounds suitable but needs a small bit of work IMHO! What type of ride is it exactly something similar to PPF or Pooh or more a coaster style ride?

The only badside I can see to this, is I think that the UK pavilion is slightly dated from my view so maybe drop the taxi stylings to maybe 60's or 70's? Just a suggestion!

Again this is just MHO but in my eyes, I don't know if you were j/k or not but the London Eye doesn't fit into the time frame for the UK section of the WS, seems a little earlier time period right now and the Eye is very modern, don't know if any of you will agree with this?

I just have this crazy feeling that the UK pavilion is place in an era kinda between the London Eye and the two you mentioned above, guess I must be crazy ...:hammer:

I think the UK Pavillion is very accurate of the UK of today! In most countryside towns, that is the style. By having a more up to date attraction, it shows a greater spectrum of my sweet home! *Sob*

yeah, i can see it now:

MARY POPPINS' ROAD RAGE RIDE!

Keep Jane and Michael safe while the crazed Nanny puts the pedal to the metal!

(Please do not imagineer further on that idea *cringes*)

Sounds like a great concept. Have you considered a section of the ride taking place in the London Underground? It might help you fill out the ride a bit.

Just don't make it like SuperStar Limo, with a plastic Tony Blair jumping out at you!

A ride like this exists..... I only forget which park (non-disney).

I lived in the UK for a couple of years, and went to a lot of non-disney parks in UK and europe and somewhere had a black cab ride.....

I will see if I can figure out where:brick:

There is a sort of similar ride at Madame Tussauds' Waxworks in london where you trave3l through the city throughout the decades. Is that it?
