I've been working on it since before Christmas and it's now on it's way. My edit of Tarzan Rocks. The upload to Disney Central has started, currently says it will take about four hours or so.

File is called "Tarzan Rocks Barnum42 Edit.wmv". I also tried to made a Divx file, but it came out blockier and was larger in file size, so I stuck with the wmv file.

Hope you enjoy :D

MKCustodial, I`m afraid it will take a bit longer - once Barnum has uploaded the file, it has to be grabbed by a server (Dolby, SirLamer etc) to make it generally available.

Personally, I can`t wait!

Well, ok then. Thanks to you both! I'll try tomorrow morning.

And I can't wait either. When I watched the show, I had only seen the movie once, so I didn't really knew the songs and all that. Now that I'm a fan of the soundtrack, they're gonna replace it with that blasted fish!

Mister 4:09 was exactly who I was looking for! LOL

Just finished watching the entire thing, and all I can say is BRAVO! Great great great video! And I love how you used Juan as the vocal throughout! He is so wonderful!

I'm away from my PC so I can't check, but I know Mr body poppin' with turk towards the end was on your shopping list.

Apart from a short cut to the cute brunette girl demonstrating the "slap slap wooo" audience participation bit, all the sound is from one recording.

Just finished watching the video..

You have a great talent of catching the emotion and spirit of these shows.. just like your FOTLK video the video work and editing of the individual performers is superb - you must have a T shirt on saying "wave/wink/flirt with/at the camera!"

A great momento of a great show. Again!

No T-shirt. It's just that I'm behind the camera - that's all the motivation the cute ladies need to wave/wink/flirt etc. ;)

Thanks for the compliments, glad you enjoyed it.

watched the video last night .. very cool...some very advanced editing work .. really :sohappy:

only one minor flaw ... the video suffers a bit from the non existent deinterlacing.. and wmv is a progressive codec... but it's not realy problem

I'm open to suggestions for how to better compress it as I know it's not brilliant. I have also been able to get Dr DIVX working, but the end result had a more blocky look to it than wmv.

I still have the master AVI so can easilsy try again. Just bear in mind the master source is analogue hi-8 so not as crisp as digital video.

I was wondering about the scan lines... I assumed it was the package used.

Dr DivX shouldn`t look blocky with a decent (including analogue) input - in my experience a WMV compresses to about 60% of the original, and the resulting AVI is still far better than MPEG1. Barnum, try contacting the Dr DivX help team - they were spot on with a tricky question I had. Daft question, but also check the settings are set to high and no custom tweeks have been made.

On Dr DIVX I took the high setting and did not tweak it, but after the first attempt it had put the whole thing in letterbox format and refused to let me change the settings back so I had to reinstall DrDivx to be able to override the settings. Though this time is defaulted to only putting the lower half of the letterbox matt line in, but at least I could override it.
