I thought they wanted a young phantom, hence the casting choice. Regardless of whether he could sing or not. I still can't get over the fact that he was not disfigured, and just had a slight case of sunburn.

Oh yes, because that is just what AK needs, more arcade type junk that makes you feel like you're in Wildwood, NJ instead of WDW.
I totally agree with you!! I hate that little area in Dinoland it doesn't fit. I want the Tarzan show to stay!!

While I have rode the Safari many, many times. I would say that the last experience was quite "thrilling". We were riding along, minding our own business, when we spotted a huge giraffe. What did he do? He stuck his head in our caravan and licked my husband's head. I would say that was thrilling, and quite funny!!:sohappy:

I am sure it says it somewhere but when is Tarzan Rocks closing or has it happened already? We have never seen it and would not mind checking it out when we go in Jan if it is still open.

If anybody has been to One Man's Dream, they'll know that Walt's original purpose for Disneyland is to create a place where parents can enjoy with their kids, not sit outside while their kids ride the latest, greatest, most-thrills-ever thrill ride.

It would be interesting if Disney did a stage show that was not based on a film. Maybe something original, new characters, new story, new songs. Could this possibly happen? If the show is a hit then they can make a movie with all thier little tie-ins.

I hate to cause a thread drift, but you are insane. The quality of his performance was below even the Touring Company's Phantom. Andrew should have insisted that they cast Colm Wilkinson (whom he originally intended to play Phantom) so that the movie could become the classsic it should have been.

I really liked Gerard's Phantom. I saw the Broadway show four times. Saw the movie 20 times (one time was in Downtown Disney) Enjoy Michael Crawford's Phantom on CD's. Gerard's Phantom had a sensitivity that I thought brought alot to the movie. Guess everyone has a different opinion.
