TAMPA, FL (Orlando Sentinel) -- There has been an R.L. Stine sighting at an attraction, but this time it isn't Walt Disney World.
Busch Gardens in Tampa held a media tour of its new R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse 4-D attraction last week and said it will debut to the public on May 31.
Guests will wear 3-D glasses for part of the show, a 20-minute film. Added special effects are characterized as fourth-dimensional.
Not so long ago, Stine, the Goosebumps series author, was the star of a Halloween event at Disney World's MGM Studios. In 1998 he made appearances throughout the park on Halloween, including at the temporary Goosebumps Fright Show.
For Busch Gardens, and the permanent attraction, Stine penned an original story that the theme park used to produce what it calls a "spooky, family-friendly attraction."
Orlando's Universal Studios is also scheduled to open a 4-D attraction, themed on the hit movie Shrek, in June.
