Talk to me about the Frozen Summer Fun Premium Package

Anyone do this last year? Thoughts, feelings?

I have two little kids, both of whom love Frozen, and I'm generally willing to throw money at things in the name of convenience when on vacation, especially when we have our kids with us (thus, I am basically Disney's dream customer, hahaha.) When I saw this package was back this summer, I figured this would be a good way to try one of the fireworks dessert parties (we've never done one before,) and maybe shave off a little bit of wait time for some things I know the kids will want to see. I'm not expecting anything amazing per se, but it sounds promising at least.

What's the dessert quality like? Any must-try items? How about the alcoholic beverages, are they any good?

We really enjoyed it. We have two kids (our son was 11 and daughter was 9). The show and afternoon desserts were great. We we able to take as many waters, sodas, etc we wanted after the show before the CMs started cleaning up the area. In fact, they were encouraging us to take stuff with us! The sing a long seats were excellent. The dessert party with adults beverages was inside since it was raining, but we liked that. The choices were fine and there was plenty for everyone. Again, we were encouraged to take stuff with us when it was time for the fireworks. The view was good, but Im sure it will be better with our the hat. Like I mentioned in the earlier post, I'd go again no question. Ill post pictures in a bit (Im trying to watch the Mets beat the Yankees!!!) @figmentfan423

Waiting for the parade. The area is roped off so seeing for the kids was not a problem.

I do have pictures of the show, sing-a-long, and some of the desserts if you are interested in seeing them. Just let me know.

We went last year. I thought it was worth it. We got to HS only 15 minutes before the parade. The streets were wall-to-wall people. We made it through to the roped off area and were able to enter and have a great view, plenty of elbow room, and have some frozen lemonade on a hot day.

The desserts were only OK. They were fine. I enjoyed the rest of it quite a bit.

We didn't do this package last year....not sure why, maybe because I was not pre-planning properly for the August trip and only discovered it was happening too late after it had been sold out...
So I booked it this year for the annual summer trip we are taking in June.

Just decided to stick with our original plans. My wife and I are headed to Boston for a week (mainly to see U2). We are also heading to Baltimore for a few days. Also NYC to see U2 a second time. And our main travel this summer is to drive from eastern PA to the midwest. Planning on 2 plus weeks to see as far west as Kansas (Ive never been). Lots of neat restaurants Id like to see and craft beers Id like to try along the way. It was going to be difficult to fit to in and honestly, staying away hasn't been as difficult as I thought. Don't get me wrong, I was excited when I booked and a got bummed when I cancelled, but Im fine not going. We had said 2017 before we do WDW again and we will probably stick to that. DL, we will see. Who knows, we've never done a cruise! So to sum it all up, just sticking to our original summer plans and didn't want to take away form any of that.

Here is a post I put on another thread after somebody else asked the same question. And yes, at first it was difficult. Then when we booked DL and canceled!! That made it harder! But when we thought about what we had already planned we were fine with it. Even the kids. We actually plan on adding a few days after Baltimore and heading to DC for the Fourth of July. Cant wait to see the fireworks there! So it was tough and I would love to go, but we swore off for now and we are sticking to that (at least for now ). We may just say the heck with it and jump in at some point, but it would most likely be DL not WDW.

Have fun planning and enjoy that trip!

Hmmm.....driving west on a two week vacation in the family truckster sounds like a lot more fun than flying to DL...:cautious:

Ah..my sister and daughter and I made it to NYC right before Christmas last year. It was a quick trip, much too short and I want to go back. But maybe in the fall, not doing NYC in December again, I like to have froze. Sounds like some fun trips ahead for you and your family. I haven't traveled through the midwest states in a really long time.

This will probably be the last year I do my annual pass. Probably in 2017 I will go to a once a year visit to WDW instead of 2 or 3. Makes sense to spend some of the time that has been devoted to Disney checking out some new places and sights.

Miss those live TR's of yours though:)
